  1. I thought that with the odomoter being digital that the kms would be recorded by the engines ECU or something else rather than the dash itself?
  2. Well I was going to import a V35 but then the dollar when to shit so I bought localy, I only wanted to spend around 25k max As much as I would have loved to buy a 6 speed after driving my 180sx for 5 years which was a 5 speed I could not justify spending so much extra on the 6 speed option when after all the 5 speed auto is a reasonable setup if your not going to take your car to the track, Im sure theres a buyer out there that would pay the extra but its just a waiting game untill the right buyer finds you
  3. Well i know that yours is a 6 speed manual however I bought my 03 premium model with woodgrain, leather, bose, 19" deep dish rims, nismo zhust system and 5 months rego for $26500 just over a week ago people arent cheap, their tight asses I should know since I am and so was the guy who bought my 180SX In the end its a buyeres market be prepared to sit tight and wait if you want that sort of $ for it Iv even seen V35s advertised as low as $23900 on carsales in sydney
  4. I got around to having a look @ my kick panel today and took a pic Lucky for me my numbers and sticker look almost the same as FlyingEL Tom could you please check out the picture I have attached and let me know if you can work the same magic you did for FlyingEL Cheers Stuart
  5. you can put my name down for a translation disc when they come out
  6. NAME: Stuart WHERE: Townsville RIDE: V35 Skyline 350GT, silver, 19" deep dish rims, nismo zhust, 1 of possibaly only 2 up this way ABOUT: Got rid of my drift spec 308rwkw 180sx for something more civilised with comfy leather seats, Iv also got a Kawasaki Ninja ZX636 if I want to go stupidly fast. Quote of the day waiting @ the traffic lights from the driver next to me "is that thing turbo?"
  7. No such luck with the steel tag, i know what ur talking about I have a set of keys for my Kawasaki ZX636 and the master code key has the metal tag on its key ring Ill take a pic of the numbers in question and e-mail it along with all the other details to Nissan JPN and hopefully should get lucky with a responce that I want to hear
  8. Ill check out the FAQ on the e-mail to japan had a good read through the key thread and saw an address there seems like one member got it his/her key sorted but another didint when they e-mail'd nissan something about a code not being on the sticker on cars made after 2001 :S from what I was reading in the paperwork the car came with the only thing I think they drained/changed was the brake fluid.... nothing about any other fluids thanks again
  9. Cheers for the info Chris I'll have a look @ the alarm system on my days off work next week and see if i feel confident pulling it apart As for the cruise control ill hold off on that for the moment as Id sooner have someone who knows what their doing hook it up, and up here in Townsville finding someone who knows what they are doing is hard thing. Im good for doing an oil change on a car and thats about it when it comes to working on them and as for the V35 i haven’t even looked yet to see where the oil filter is As for the key considering I cant read or speak Japanese how do I get in contact with Nissan Japan? sorry if this has been covered before haven’t done a search Once I get in contact with them and give them the VIN will they be able to code the key and send it to me all ready to go? Also my cars now got 55K on it and i have no records of whats been serviced on it, what things might I need to get done now or in the future to keep everything running the way they should Thanks
  10. how did you know my car has a factory alarm system? :S there are a couple of stickers on the glass saying there is an alarm system in the car as far as removing it goes whats involved in that? I have set it off by opening up the car using the key and not pressing the button on the key but all the noise is from the inside of the car As far as keys go iv only got the 1 and after browsing through the other thread i better take good care of the one that Iv got shogun car company did the compliance on the car
  11. was going to import but since our $ got its ass kicked by the Yen I bought localy
  12. Not sure who did the complience ill have a look @ the papers I got with the car Car came over with the wheels and the nismo zhust and got through with them still on fortunatly for me I'll have to crack open the bag of loose xeon bits and things cus Im sure I could see some wires in there that looked cut
  13. Hi guys Im a long time lurker however I used to be pretty active on NS.com when i was interested in my 180 Anyhow I sold my 180sx a couple of weeks ago and just got back from Brisbane today with my new V35. Let me tell you that driving from Brisbane to Townsville "aprox 1400k" is a lot nice in the V35 compared to the 180sx which was drift spec :S just wish the V35 had cruise control! only just got back tonight and given the car a quick wash to get all the bugs off it, so iv taken a couple of pics in my units carpark will have to go and get some better shots during the day next week when I get more time off work I love the car but I have 2 gripes with it the 1st one is that the oil dipstick is a pain in the ass to get back in !!!!! why the hell nissan decided to make that part they way they did is beyond me, iv also noticed that the end of my dipstick looks a little bent/twisted... oil on the stick is higher on one side than the other so im taking the reading from the side which has oil on it lower down the stick the 2nd is that my indicator switch works fine for everything except for turning left, it will indicate but I have to apply a fair bit of upward pressure on it for it to indicate left and it dosent click and keep indicating like it will when indicating right... im guessing the easiest thing to fix this problem would be to fit a new indicator/light stick “switch" I also noticed a strange thing which looks like a card reader or something im guessing for the toll systems in Japan which is located on the dash as 2 little "things" and a silver thing near your leg in the foot well theres also some speaker thing on the top of the windscreen that says something in Japanese about 10 secs after the car is started I also have a bag of what I believe is the factory Xeon looms and lights can someone confirm if it looks like I have all I need to get them going again anyhow here are pics
