  1. Cops are definitely out in force lately. Got stalked by a divvy van on saturday night on the way home. Tailed me, checked my details in their car then turned around and sped off. Might be best for anyone with an exceptionally attention drawing vehicle to drive it at a minimum until after xmas/new years. At nights at least anyway.
  2. im kinda worried about bringing my 33 down to melbourne now....do you guys get hassled a lot?? definitely seems like it. i wonder if the fact that my car doesnt stand out and has NSW plates will help me?? the loud exhaust def wont...........
  3. Coming from someone who has an EF falcon and is selling a Holden Frontera
  4. Hey Everyone, Got a set of rails for sale. One is a genuine Recaro drivers side rail. Suits all r32s and 33's (gtsts, gtrs etc etc) The passenger side is an unknown brand japanese rail. Has had new cross bracing screwed to the top of the rail to suit recaro seats. Would simply need to drill new holes into the cross braces to fit different seats. Im not sure on brand as the sticker has faded, so for all i know it may be one of the other big name japanese rails. Both rails sit low, and do not compromise driving position, so for all those tall people like me, you do not need to fear. Came out of an r33 gtr, and before that an r33 gtst. I myself own an r33. Selling these as i already had a set of genuine recaro rails for my sr3's when i bought them. Both in good condition, slide back and forward easily, nothing bent or broken in them. All you need is the bolts to put them into the car. You can use the existing bolts from your original seats if you have them to bolt them onto the chassis, all you then need is a collection of M6 bolts to bolt seats to them. (i can supply bolt measurements forn recaro sr3's if you need them) Extremely easy to put into a car. Will take $200 for the seat. I am in Melbourne and the rails are located in Albury. I will transport these to Melbourne for any Melbourne buyers to pick up from St Kilda and avoid shipping. I go to Albury about once a month, so if anyone that is interested now, let me know so i can bring them back on the weekend, save waiting for another month. Anyone from interstate can organise shipping at their own cost as i really do not have enough free time to be running around organising quotes and shipping for people. Will organise pics early next week as im going to my parents house in Albury for the weekend. Best way to reach me is to call or sms me on 0408169306 - Michael
  5. cheers guys. yeah its a total dump, and they charge astronomical rates. I should open up a rehearsal studio, would make an absolute killing.
  6. I went to parkway/ABR, how good was it!! I have been playing guitar for about 8-9 years. "sing" in the band im in now haha. This is my band www.myspace.com/hollowpointhc. name change now, and new members. the stuff on there is over a year old. we jam flat out at kindred studios in footscray, will be back in the studio and playing live/touring again soon, so all SAU VIC guys should come for sure
  7. Cash should override all. Especially in the panel game. Got my proton fixed at woods accident repair in south yarra. had a nasty scrape along the rear wheel arch, knocked off paint to the metal. punched in the guard. Paid 800 cash, had it in and out in 2 days and they detailed it for me also. Suppose it depends on where you go, especially if they have to order parts

  9. Exactly right, Fingers crossed the show doesnt gain a massive following, the last thing we want is for it to stay on TV for years and end up as over blown and ridiculous like COPS.....
  10. I watched the first episode, wasnt too bad. The best bit i thought was if you noticed in the background when they were talking to the bikie guy, there was a silver Astra driving across the nature strip to do a U turn. I think what is going to happen is that they are going to play up each situation a bit more for TV. The reason i say it is because last year i was talking to one of the guys i used to deal with at work. He is a fabricator and was saying the man he uses to repairs his machines is based in NZ. He comes over a few times a year to service the machines. What he does is bring the component parts in his carry on luggage. Had been doing it for years with absolutely no problem from customs. But one day he came in, they were filming, they pulled him up, made a big deal of it and wouldnt let him in to the country. He had to have the parts shipped back to NZ, and he had to fly back. So the same will happen i reckon. Highway Patrol is not an interesting job, so each situation they have they are going to have to make the most of to keep the show going. Cant wait to see an episode based on young kids/fast cars. I live just behind fitzroy st, so im betting a few dollars i show up somewhere, even though I drive like my nan haha
  11. or anyone know where i can buy some rails from to suit recaros??? have heard about ebay, but i havent found anything decent, any traders on here or on nissan silvia that do them???
  12. Hey Guys, Have bought a set of recaro sr3's for my r33. Bought them off a guy that had them in his 33 gtr. Supposedly he bought them off someone who had them in his r33 gtst, so as far as im aware they are going to bolt straight into my car. But this is where im a bit confused. The passenger side has a custom fabricated rail attached to the seat (which is fine) Its heavy, which sucks, but it all looks good and im assuming its going to bolt in easy. Now the drivers side rail is disassembled, the pieces that are included are 1. the slider handle that you pull to move the seat back and forward, 2. the two moving rail parts that run the length of the seats, and 3. two pieces of metal which look like they may be custom fabricated to sit inbetween the rail and the seat (one looks like to attach the seat buckle, and the other must just be to keep the thing even on the other side) But one thing that ive noticed is that on the passenger seat it has two pieces of metal that run sideways across the bottom of the seat, and there isnt those 2 pieces of metal on the other seat. It looks like the bolt holes line up for the rails and the seat etc, but is it necessary to have those 2 flat plates across lengthways of the seat?? the reason i ask is because my car is at my parents house, and thats 3 hours away, i dont want to drive all the way there to try to put them in and have them not fit. so would i best to look at some new rails for both seats???
  13. not really fussed on industry well i do live just off grey street in st kilda, so streetwalker wouldnt involve any commuting to work hahah
