  2. Yeah, they're available. Shailer Park!
  3. This is a good start!
  4. Nissan infinity VQ45 V8.
  5. Beating my old man in his XR6T over the quarter is going to be the fun bit!
  6. I've got a Tomei one i'll be putting on mine soon.
  7. I went with him as previously i was getting most stuff done by Hardcore at slacks creek and i found out that he was the one that was doing all the headwork / machining for them so pretty much went straight to the source. He's pretty well known in drag racing circles and has been supercomp champion a few times now racing his own cars, you'll see his name across the top of the main stand at willowbank.
  8. There was a VW combi van at jamboree at willowbank this year with a 20b turbo rotor engine running pretty quick times.
  9. I'd say you want have enough ground clearance under the Skyline to mount the surge tank there. My old man had done it under the tray on his XR6T ute though. No diagram but the tanks usually have 4 inlets/outlets 1 on the side at the bottom which the pump draws from 2 on the very top for the return from the fuel rail 3&4 are on the top side and are used for the inlet / return of fuel from / to the main tank.
  10. I have a greddy plenum that i am using on my current rb25 build and would like to make it look a bit better. I think i am going to get it powder coated a light grey colour. At the moment though the finish is pretty rough, just the standard cast aluminum. What would be the best way to smooth up the surface of it to prepair it for the powder coating?
  11. Stock for stock, my R33 GTSt vs my old mans XR6t was pretty close, i'd get him off the line and he'd pass me at 1/2 track. He's now at 330rwkw and running 11sec passes while im waiting to finish my build so i can kick his @rse. 11sec XR6t video Warming his tires (video)
  12. I'm just going to use one of SMB's 4" cats and Mufflers and make up the rest of the exhaust myself. Their website does make mention of a skyline catback comming soon though. My old man has their 4" turbo back job on his XR6, its pretty nice.
  13. Making progress now!
  14. Headsense (colin lloyd) at coopers plains. My only complaint with him was that it took a while before he got around to actually doing the work, he had my engine there for about 3 months. It's a one man workshop and he's pretty busy.
  15. Item: RB25 Venolia 20thou over Forged Pistons Location: Brisbane Item Condition: Brand New Reason for Selling: Ended up using a custom set of CP pistons to achieve a lower CR Price and Payment Conditions: Paid $1600 Wanted $1200 Will take $1000
  16. A break down of the costs involved with the engine build for those interested. CP pistons $1185 Rings $275 Straighten & Polish Crank $182 Bore & hone block $188 Deck Block $110 Balance $ 267 Overhaul head $590 Porting $810 New guides $237 Cometic gasket $362 Big end bearings (ACL race) $89 Main bearing (King) $72 Gaskets etc. $28 Assembly $880 Total $5275
  17. CR ended up about .4 below standard so about 8.6. Went with the ARGO rods and yes 256 poncams with matching springs. Had Colin lloyd (Headsense) do the head work as well as machine and assemble the engine. Hopefully i can find the time to complete the rest at home with the help of my old man.
  18. Time for another update. My Engine is now completed and will be picking it up from the engine builder some time this week if i can find the time. I ended up shelving my Venolia pistons as didn't want to run the clearances that they specified and also wanted to drop the comp at little, CP pistons have gone in in their place. Also didnt go with the copper gasket just a cometic MLS. Heads ported, new tomei cams and springs, new guides also but reused the standard valves. I can't belive this is taking so long but at least it is progressing. I just hope i'm back on the road by christmas.
  19. I brought a hybird cooler from the Flyn web site and had no issues at all. Cooler arived 2 days after the money was transfered.
  20. Hi Octane Racing
  21. Not sure if this has been on here at all before. A quick search turned nothing up. Anyways i thought this was pretty funny! Bad Drift Movie
  22. I ordered on tuesday and he confirmed the order 10 minutes later, confimed the reciept of payment the next day and gave me the 8th of october as the expected delivery date. 2 week turn around from date of order is not bad at all.
