  1. Hey guys just wanted some opinions on comprehensive insurance. Basically I've narrowed it down to RACV and JustCar, each have their pros and cons. RACV ($1831) complete care Pros: Glass and windscreen cover with no excess Car hire after accident/theft Vehicle pickup and return Cons: High excess $2600 low agreed value $16380 JustCar ($1994/$625 excess or $1851/$825 excess) Pros: Higher agreed value $19250 lower excess Cons: No glass and windscreen cover No car hire? The question is which one would you go for? I'm leaning towards RACV more at the moment but the high excess is giving me second thoughts. As for JustCar, from my previous experience with them, they tend to lower the agreed value each renewal significantly so the value will probably be the same as RACV the next year or so. I'm 26 y/o Rating 1.
  2. Hey guys just need some opinions on this fender that I managed to find but it has some minor damage that I'm unsure if it is fixable. Do you guys reckon any panel shop would be able to fix this easily?
  3. I managed to get hold of one, $300 seems to be a reasonable price?
  4. does anyone know where i could find a passenger side fender? tried calling a few wreckers and no luck, the ones i found on ebay dont ship to Aus =(
  5. Cheers, See how I go, will let you know =) Pm'ed
  6. I opt'ed for third party at the time due to ridiculous amount of excess. I know I should have gotten full comp knowing the odds but I've learnt it the hard way. Cheers guys I'm contacting the seller on gumtree hopefully that's the front bar sorted.
  7. Btw I'm located in Melbourne but I can arrange courier if needed.
  8. Hey guys I was unfortunately involved in an accident and I'm looking for some parts urgently so if you have it or know someone who do please leave a comment or pm me the details. The parts I'm looking for are : Front bumper (oem/aftermarket) Left headlight housing Passenger side fender guard ( the whole piece just before the passenger door) It is for a 2003 coupe in silver. If it comes in silver that will be great but anything in working condition will suffice. Thanks
  9. I'll probably regret selling this later too haha, let me know if you do hah =p and thanks mate. Somebody take it before i change my mind !! - Previous owner bought it 2nd hand, i never had it installed so that still counts as 2nd hand? - Again as i haven't got it installed i can't tell u for sure, but from what i've heard it's not quiet but also not uncomfortably loud - I had it shipped from Brisbane to Vic for around $130 with insurance included, it should cost u anywhere from $80-$300 depending which company u choose
  10. Hey all, I have a used Motordyne shockwave tdx2 including ART pipes that I'm considering to sell. I bought it from a forum member here awhile ago, was really looking forward to get this for my car as those of you who have looked into this may know how rarely these things are up for sale. I'll be sad to see it go but I'm trying to free up some cash atm so I'm not looking for trades or swaps. This is probably one of the best exhaust systems for the v35, a lot of info can be found on the forum and also on g35drivers. Looking for $1700 ono for the whole system including the ART pipes, I'm only asking for what I paid for, in fact the listed price is lesser than what I paid. All the parts are in bubble wrap ready to go. I'm located in Melbourne East side so local buyers are preferred before I consider interstate, Thanks. pic from the previous seller, all parts are in bubble wrap now. Welcome to take a look if you're located in Vic just shoot me a pm and we'll sort it out. Also have a set of rear hub and bearings pressed in for sale - $350 ono
  11. When you peel off the masking around the edges the dip tends to stick and wants to come off with it. I was being pretty careful but still left a few tiny spots on the edges. After some reading I found out you can either spray the coats on fairly quickly, don't allow it to dry and peel off the masking while its still wet, that way you get a smooth clean edge. Or, you can use a razor blade and cut alone the edges where it bonds to the tape and take it off that way, hope this helps. =)
  12. Hey guys I got a set of coupe rear bearings + hub assembly already pressed in brand spanking new condition, never fitted, only took out to take pictures. Was going to change it out when I thought the rear bearings are worn due to the vibration and noise, turns out to be bad tires + unbalanced. Ordered these from the states, genuine Nissan OEM parts. These would probably cost you over $500 shipped to Aus and thats without getting it pressed. Sick of those rusty hubs? this is all new and shiny . Located in Vic Eastern sub, local pickup would be ideal. Will help with interstate shipping if necessary, I still have the box with all the bubble wraps -$475 o.n.o
  13. reviving an old topic decided to give the plastidip thingy a go today, did my front grille and rear diffuser. The grille turned out okay..got a few small run spots if you look close but from far it looks good imo. I did 4 layers on each with 1 can which was almost empty when i finished. The diffuser didn't turn out as good as i wanted it to be but being first time i think it was okay...will learn from my mistakes i guess. Anyway pictures say more than words, here's a few pics i took along the process (only took a few as i was racing against daylight to get it finished. Grille (was a bitch to take off lol..) after Diffuser i was bit paranoid about overspray...hence the ridiculous amount of paper lol after....i ran out of sunlight took me about 2 hours ish, that was including washing the car and prep work
  14. I did mine last week, all fluids and filters, spark plugs, new pads. I bought all the parts before I had the car in, cost me $500 in labour but that's also including installing a plenum spacer lol. My mechanic is also a friend of mine so I don't mind paying a little extra for the peace of mind knowing everything is done the way i want it while chatting with him when he's working on the car. If you car is an Auto you MUST only use OEM Nissan transmission oil (Matic J) and if you are unsure when your trans oil was last serviced I wouldn't recommend flushing it IMO. I'm not too sure on the coolant whether it has to be the OEM antifreeze, but i used that just to make sure...maybe someone can clarify this.
  15. i heard the spc rear bolts tends to have play thus causing alignment to go out of spec after a while, so until the prob is fixed i think it'd be better to consider other options such as SPL. Perhaps someone else might be able to organise another GB with SPL or something else as im pretty flat out recently. sorry to keep u guys hanging but i wouldn't want this to go ahead anyhow knowing there's a problem with the product. mods please /thread. ta
  16. Hi all, I've got a set of rear bearings with the hub already pressed in for sale. I bought it from the US as I thought my rear bearings were going bad due to the loud road noise, turns out it was the tyres, so these are up for grabs. Looking around $500 for the set. Also got a set of OEM coupe springs - $120
  17. you probably won't need the fronts with an 1" drop, however the rear ones are always recommended with even a slight drop. Heck i even wanted to get the rears without any drop. you can always decide later when you get them aligned after you've installed the springs and see if it can be adjusted to near oem specs. anyway guys i think we should set a deadline for this in order for me to start ordering, i say give it one more week, Tuesday 19th of June. hopefully 1 or more people can jump in to save the day, or else ( for those of you who are interested, are ok with $220) i'll put the order through. I'm holding off the fronts for now as there are just not enough interest.
  18. It's 5 parts each. $200 rear for 5+ orders, $220 otherwise if we can get 5 + orders for the front i'll work something out with the seller, hopefully can get it down to 450 or less..i'll keep you guys updated
  19. ^ So you are in? , I'm making a list of confirmed buyers as we progress. hopefully more people will be interested. Confirmed List Front Kit kvnz88 Rear Kit kvnz88 falconcoupe Copy and add your name to the list for those who are interested. cheers
  20. I'm not sure about the SPL's but the SPC are adjustable up to 6 degrees front and rear adjustments are +/-4.00 degree Toe +/-3.00 degree If we can get 5+ confirmed orders it'd be $200 shipped, $20 for shipping is a steal i reckon According to the seller, we need 5 confirmed orders. Right now we have 4 people who are interested in the rear and 2 for the front (You and I) Yes its the same for the Z
  21. Hi all, I'm having problem with uneven tire wear due to the alignment geometry on the Vs, as I don't really drive that much It wasn't that much of an issue for me, but I'm planning to lower the car in the near future so I'm on the market for some SPC camber kits. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a group buy for these kits to save some dollars Now many of you would have heard about SPC, for those of you who don't, there are plenty of threads and discussions on SPC camber kits on g35driver.com, most people who run these kits in their cars has no issues and were generally happy with it and will recommend them to others. If your tires are wearing out prematurely like mine then I'd strongly suggest you invest in these as the price of replacing 2 tires is pretty much the same as buying these kits, well for me at least if you're running 19's or bigger I'm already in contact with a vendor for SPC and he has given me some initial quotes but says he might have a little more room to work with the price if I can manage to get enough interest, so far the quote i got are: Retail prices SPC Front Control Arm L&R Pair RRP: $385Usd http://thmotorsports...5/i-397516.aspx SPC Rear Camber/Toe Kit RRP: $89.50Usd ($179 for a pair) http://thmotorsports...0/i-396571.aspx These prices don't include shipping, you're looking at around $60 (rear) and $100 (front) for shipping Quoted prices Front control arm pair $475 shipped Rear camber/toe kit pair $220 shipped Any questions feel free to ask, for those of you who have these kits it'd be greatly appreciated if you could give some feedback on them with regards to performance, installation, fitment or anything you like to add in. Cheers
