  4. Great info there mate...... It's good to see hard evidence of the N1 being a upgrade of the standard Nissan pump, after constaint reports of it being the same pump, with just a stiffer spring....
  5. I sent a nice message to him last night telling him how many great reviews his part was receiving on the Skyline forums, and asked if he'd send me one over here in the usa. 8. Hey guys, I'm wanting to buy a very slightly used Greddy oil pump from a friend of a friend, and would like to hear from first hand experiince what you thought of the Greddy pump. How high up the quality ladder is the Greddy, compaired to the others? Do they require a swap out of the pressure springs if a oil cooler with large lines are used? cheers
  9. Hi Sydneykid, in your opinion, how does the Greddy/Trust oil pump stack up to all the other aftermarket oil pumps for the rb26? thanks joel

  16. Hey all, I have a question for any of you RB26 addiicts.... I need to find a place that sells/ makes a repair part for a RB26 head that has the valve spring bucket (lifter) pocket damaged. The head was modified by some dumba$$ (Me) for a larger lift cam, and in the process, the area that seals the oil preasure was cut into a little bit. Now, the bucket will not totally seal the oil preasure as required. I'm sure on the RB26 head, there is times when this wears beyond spec, and must be renewed, so who/ how does this get renewed? I've thought of boreing out the lifter pocket, and installing a sleeve into the pocket to bring the clearnce back to spec, but can't find such item for sale. I swear I saw a post on this exact repair somewhere before, but can't find anything now. Does anyone have any known fixs for valve lifter pocket repair?? Anyone know who sells a repair sleeve for this ?? Please advise.... thank you joel
  17. Are you supose to spray a new metal HG when you install it for the first time? I bought a Tomei metal gasket set, and I'm fixin to mate the head with block, but now I want to make sure this is nesesarry.... I did have the same thing happen to me once re using a HKS metal HG,and my mechenic told me it was because I used copper coat spray. He said that copper spray is for exh flange use only, and it won't seal any fluids... But I see people saying that use it on HG's all the time, so whats the real facts...?? I'd like to be 100% before I bolt my head on... HELP :burnout: thanks joel
