  13. i think if the tape is as tight as possible its fine. mine is so tight. should be ok. it does work though
  14. oh, i reckon wipe of all the old black stuff and give it a little oil while its up you know! or wd40 would work nice as well
  15. ive also heard othewise! read the thread about "DEI THERMAL TAPE" i started a few weeks back.
  16. use whatever the hell you want thats what i reckon. wd40 would probably work. just find something lying around. i used a tissue, one i found in my pocket which had also been through the wash
  17. how about we come round and you use the rest of your paint and do our bits
  18. oh and a tip wet the wrap before you attempt to put it on. its much easier
  19. it costs 2.50 per foot. buy the stuff that is 2 inches wide not the 1 inch shit. and you can also buy hose clamps there. if you have a 3 inch pipe buy the 3 inch clamps. there around 2.50 each or something.
  20. i got it from this auto shop near my house called east coast autos. they sell it by the meter there as well. i just bought $50 worth of the stuff which was more then enought to wrap my dump area nicely and tightly.
  21. oh and if you guys are talking about buying the front/dump pipe from flynn pm batmbl as he sells the same pipe for less then they do i bought one from him and they are well worth it!
  22. it will take longer then this! if doing yourself. anyone that attempts to do it yourself it is very easy however watch out for the rusty bolts at the back of the turbo as they have a tendency to break resulting in days of frustration if you have the tools do it yourself, its heaps of fun.
  23. today i also bought some thermal wrap and wrapped up the dump area on my front/dump pipe. Then i decided to take the heat shield off the stock front pipe and fabricated it to my new front pipe. So now the engine bay is no where near as hot and doesnt smell like burning plastic anymore.
  24. i was going to do mine 2 weeks ago firslty i thought yellow, but then saw what yellow looks like, then i thought silver, then i thought plain black. i got confused so decided not not
  25. just woke up and still cant get over it i mean goodness sakes!
