    Tein Coilovers

Spoke with Fulcrum turns out they make the Basic flex wagon in a rear fork model. In regards to firmness Tein are softer than BC's. Tein spring rate of 6kg BC's are around 8kg making Tein a much more comfy ride not sure why everyone saying there harder.

    Tein Coilovers

Hi I have searched and read all the info on the correct coilovers for a Stagea RS Four S. So I am aware that the rears are the fork type. My question is does anyone know what Teins will fit this model as I have had differing opinions from both fulcrum and online searches. Im after the exact part number. Fulcrum have told me that these will fit but Im not so sure. Basic Flex Wagon GSN78-T1SS2. They also told me if they are not the rear fork type that they can convert them to be the rear fork..... Hmmm not so sure about that one either.... Thanks for the help.
  3. Just got me one on ebay..
  4. Can anyone tell me if a Nistune type 4 board that has been purchased for a different model car can be used for another model than it was purchased for ? Both model cars are suitable for the same type 4 board but it has had a basic flash for another model car.
  5. I purchased my car from NSW and registered in QLD my mechanic only pulled it up on mechanical issues. It failed with severe excessive movement in the steering rack shaft. Got that fixed then whent to QLD transport and they didnt even look at my car they just took my cash and gave me the rego papers.
  6. I had one on my old Stagea series 2 it was putting out 330kw at the wheels with ease...
  7. I have recently had a similar issue after putting a new wheel and tyre package on 19"s all round turns out the front tyres are the issue. My problem was mostly vibration in the steering wheel at around 90 - 120km. Cheap ass china tyres... Will be getting some Federal tyres on Monday.
  8. there are 2 types that Tein produce for the C34 stagea the Basic flex wagon and the Super flex. Basic flex do a super hicas model so they have the rear fork type but the super flex do not. Super flex are not super hicas compatable so they are not rear fork type. Correct me if Im wrong but from what fulcrum have told me and from what I can find on the specs online this seem to be correct.
  9. Good story Artz. Shame how this site is full of people who just want to disagree for the sake of it. I just recently sold my BT50 4wd purchased new in 09. The drive away price was $36990 but list price was in the low $40's. I can vouch that the cab chassis was only $22,000 drive away however the list price may of been greater. A mechanic that I know told me he has a mate who purchased GW had several issues with it so he got a 2nd GW for spare parts. True story.
  10. Yeah stay away from Nagoya or at least have an I dependant mechanical inspection if your not knowledgable.
  11. If you get tein basic flex coilovers fulcrum have told me they can convert the coilovers to fork for the rears. I just ordered some and they will convert them for me when they arrive.
  12. I purchased from them last month and I wouldn't buy another car off the again. Firstly I asked if there was rust under the mirrors and there response was "we wouldn't have a car like that in our yard" but when I arrived to inspect what did I find under the mirrors yes RUST. Secondly living interstate I had to get a roadworthy for rego. The car failed to pass roadworthy but they had it pass with there own guy. My trusted mechanic of many years said it was downright dangerous and should never of passed. Severe excessive play in the steering rack shaft. I called and spoke to Cody who said all the right things promising to call me back in 24 hours that was 2 weeks ago. I decided to get it fixed at my cost rather than have them send me to someone they know who will probably do just as there previous roadworthy and pass it.

    Pod Filter Kit

CES racing have proved this with substantial evidence... Its interesting how these videos of proof by mighty car mods are hardly mighty mods. They use an R34 with pod then restricted air flow from the turbo to the cat to a cat back exhaust, that right there is pure wank factor to replace an exhaust from the cat back and leave the other half chocking your airflow. Then in the other video its the blue turd, this car is running a standard exhaust of course there will be no increase in power... Hardly proves anything... The surface area of a panel filter may be greater than a pod but the shape of a pod causes a greater turbulence thus increasing the flow... The standard airbox was designed to restrict airflow to minimise the sound levels. Why dont you just say that a larger exhaust will do nothing as well... If you believe that the exhaust being larger will increase power it only makes sense that an unrestricted air intake will help with the flow of air...

    Pod Filter Kit

The videos shown do not use turbo back exhaust.... They only use cat back so of course you will see no difference....

    Pod Filter Kit

Mate there are many differing opinions, however if you put a pod filter on, the air intake capacity increases. You will see no gain by simply changing from standard intake to a pod. You need to improve airflow capacity from intake through to exhaust. Meaning if you have a larger exhaust from the turbo back then a pod filter will certainly help. The stanadard airbox alone is restricting air flow.
  16. I did spend considerable time searching the forums and only found partial answers hence why the post... I have actually been a member on here for 8 years but have not used the forums for the last 3 years so I just started a new one... My reason for asking the questions is because I had a S2 Stagea RS4 several years ago and spent a fortune on it and it was putting out 330 awkw but my fuel consumption was horrific 300 klm's to a tank but it was quick. SO I just want to make sure I dont get ripped off and do it right for what Im after.. I have also owned 3 R31 Silhouette's and 1 R31 GTS 2 no# 69 and a R33 Gtst M spec
  17. And right there is the reason a lot of people don't get on these forums cause there's always someone who has to show some infant ism. I am merely asking to clarify so as not to get told some bs from a workshop. After all isn't that what this is here for. C'mon
  18. I'm also thinking of putting in a decat pipe instead of a cat.
  19. I already have Greddy power extreme exhaust, blitz intercooler, Greddy oil catch tank, JJR bellmouth dump pipe all awaiting to be installed. I will also be getting Splitfire coil pack and from what your all saying is I need Nistune board fitted, boost controller and then a tune. What kind of power should I then expect to see ?
  20. So correct me if Im wrong but I need 1. a nistune board fitted, 2. a boost controller 3. Car tuned good thing I been getting bargains cause the shopping list keeps on growing.....
  21. But is there a Power FC for the Stag ? I know its not roadworthy but what type of difference will I get if I add JJR Stainless Racing De-Cat Pipe instead of a catylic converter ? Noise and power etc...
  22. What other piggy back ecu's are reliable and not going to cost me my last penny's ? Are there Apexi power FC's avilable for the Stag ?
  23. Hi I am about to have a full exhaust system done on my series 2, RS Four S. Not sure at this point wether to get twin dump pipe or just a bellmouth. I will also be getting a Blitz LM return flow intercooler installed and was wondering if I will need to have the car tuned with aftermarket ecu piggyback or maybe Nistune board. Or will the car run fine with the standard ecu ? Any help would be great thanx
