  1. bitch of a location IMO. level crossing causes traffic to bank up and no one in clayton can park or drive very well. that, plus if they decide to get rid of the level crossing... thats traffic woes and construction for 6+ months Also, theres 2 coles there. both stock the same shit and its not very diverse. i used to drive the extra 5mins to safeway on warrigal rd.
  2. then rent out the paddocks to some archeological team to find remains of some footnote battle in 1100AD. sell land to museum. profit.
  3. but UK living expenses so spensive
  4. thats a good point. I cant imagine a showroom 34GTR Nur appreciating faster than 24xxxkm mercielago. even after maintenance costs of them not moving. so if its no longer an investment, its just for GTR wank?
  5. ummmmm... why? http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/65/p/4/cid/612/id/13770/Default.aspx hahah yeah 12kms on the clock... spins bearing on startup
  6. bargain http://www.j-spec.com.au/featured/2002-Nissan-Skyline-GTR_V-Spec_2_NUR-17133.html hmm http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/65/p/2/cid/612/id/14114/Default.aspx
  7. What if it was a stolen exotic car? Ultimate media dilemma. Asshole arrogant rich man doing 280 crashes and dies Or Thief stole some rich mans exotic car and then died from a lethal amount of hooning
  8. know that forced leave feel. but boss doesnt keep track of how much I have accumulated, sooo... he'd probably be nice enough to allow me 3 weeks without much questions
  9. people have different theories on fiddly gearboxes in a "if it aint broke dont fix/maintain it" sort of attitude. Personally, I think being proactive is a better way to go. I've just imported my car with 100,000kms and the day after it gets rego'd im doing a full flush on the CVT.
  10. Going to bed before 8pm cause theres nothing to do #FIFO Last day tomorrow! (then fly out day after) "You only do two days, the day you go in... And the day you go out" - Avon Barksdale
  11. I would feel even worse if thief sold bike to unsuspecting person who then crashed and died...
  12. because it sells. media control. no one cares about some politician opening a new primary school in Woop Woop, people care that some politician cant throw a cricketball or being used as a scapegoat for some money pit.
  13. even administration gets more than $45k on average (unless they were male administration, in which they would get 30% more)
  14. Linesmen on $60,000 a year? yeah bullshit. http://www.open.edu.au/careers/engineering/linespersons-electrical
  15. Dezz must have done a good job. full police write-up and everything
  16. i really really thought they made more than $70k... plus isnt there extra allowances for on-call, shift work, night work, OT etc?
  17. I reckon they earn it. High stress job on shift work. Rotating 12hr day and night shifts. I know a couple of paramedics, some dropped out due to stress issues and rest dont have much of a life. You could probably go work on a mine site as a paramedic for better money and do very little in comparison... But that applies to just about any profession on a mine site. So far ive almost been impressed with the knowledge and work ethic of maybe less than 5 individuals. The rest are so slow, lazy or incompetent (usually all 3) its no wonder this job is $3 billion over budget lol
  18. im at work for another 3 days... need something to google to pass time. also, dont want to walk into shop without an idea or might come out looking like this bloke
  19. VWLBC: anyone got suggestions for sunnies? not beach/surfer I-spent-my-montly-wage-on-dragon-sunglasses look, but the i-have-taste-in-sunnies-unlike-your-BMW-cufflinks sort of thing. i dont even know where to start. kthnx
  20. I can imagine military leaders spitting chips for not getting any new or modern gear for years so after heaps of pestering someone just said "here, have some planes, now shuttup" Now we can better support the next american war from a greater distance. Unrelated: guys at work swapping Bali stories. I wasnt surprised when they said they stayed at the Hard Rock Cafe hotel. Looooooool. I can picture the bintang singlets in photo realism
  21. Gotta keep those military bosses happy. Maybe he plans to re-sell them in 10-15 years to developing countries to make back some costs... Not many people going to buy Navy boats second hand, thats why they all get dumped as museum pieces around Australian piers
  22. Its funny because the defense forces cut more corners than a pastry chef, but the amount dedicated to their spending is huge.I know gear is expensive, but so much of it is old and poorly maintained (not from unreliable sources but when its so common via word of mouth...) I wonder how much goes to veteran affairs or retired high ranking peeps (just out of curiosity).
  23. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm leather-y goodness https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/leatherique/leatherique_leather_system
  24. Not sure if it common knowledge but the burnley tunnel is actually sinking. Causing lots of drama with infrastructure above, below and around it. You wouldnt be happy if your 15mil dorra estate on the yarra river started shifting and changing... Not much you can do about it (except temp patch it up, add it to the sale cost and flog it off)
  25. How long have you had the car and how many kms have you done? Do you know the gear oil has ever been replaced? (Just curious) im doing a full flush next week, sump will come off so will have a quick look for any sensors
