Hi All, I did this mod on my stock 96' S2R33 & now she wont rev past 2500rpm. I freaked out (cause I just got the car), &put it back to original(re joined the wire), But still only reving to 2500rpm... Please help, I'm new to skylines.. What could be the problem??

Hi All, Just picked up my R33 few days ago & i love it, i've wanted one for ages. Unfortunately, I think i've already broken it:( I heard about the 2 stage boost & thought i would make it 2nd stage(7psi) all the way & ground the boost solenoid. I'm pretty handy & have been into electronics & mechanics for years (i'm 42), so last night i thought i would do the mod. Well I read the entire thread on that before attempting it, & then did it as specified. (cut& ground the black wire from the solenoid , not touching the white) It seemed fairly idiot proof... When I went to test it on my way to work this morning it would not rev over 2500rpm, just kept coughing until i dropped the revs below 2500, like the fuel limiter was activating. I freaked out (i only just got the car), & put it back to standard& re attached the cut black wire, but it still wont rev over 2500rpm.. Have I broken something? Can I fix this? I'm worried I broke my new toy.. So far I have reset the ECU as specified (disconnect batt & pump brakes & leave for a while) I hot wired the solenoid to see if it works (it does) & I tried running the car with the solenoid grounded & ungrounded full time Still only 2500 rpm.. Right now I'm leaving the batt disconnected for 24hrs to see it helps the issue. Please HELP!!! Oh, and vrey nice to meet you all:)
