We had the same prob (TPS - Throttle Position Switch) with one of our ZX's, I was told that this only hapens in Auto Cars.

You CAN live without it, but if your CAT gets blocked, the only way you'll know is when you cant breath cuase the fumes will intoxicate your car.....This happend to a supra we just picked up from the docks 3 weeks ago, i nearly threw up in the damn car. I would Strongly reccommend this be plugged in, Also, if your CAT gets blocked, your Gas/Temp sensor will realise there is not an even flow of air/fumes going through the exhaust and your ecu will switch your Engine warning llight on to tell you theres a problem. Its there for a reason, So USE IT....

Hi guys, We just moved house and I havnt gotten to know the hoons in the area yet except for a Blue GTR '33 that stops infront of my house every morning to look at my car (Dunno Why!) and then he alwas Hoons off with great speed, I have lost all respect for him becuase we live in an estate and those speeds shouldnt happen with little kids around all the time. Any way so i woke up and felt like going for a drive so i jumped in the skybitch and went round the block. And what do i see. A Blue GTR wrapped around a pole. I nearley had tears in my eyes. I pulled over and had a look, there were cops and ambulance and ***** everywhere. So i stopped and had a look, the Tread markes indicated to me he was going damn fast cuase the marks were for about 20-30 meters i'd say. He had lost control round a corner (Must have been a real bad driver) and spun out (I could tell this by the tread left on the road) and BANG into the pole. They had to take him to hospita, dont know how bad he is but it looks like he should have died cuase the car was really stuffed. So just a reminder guys, please take care out there on the roads, cuase the last thing we wanna hear is a fellow skyman has lost his life to plain stupidity. Regards - Sam

Its definaltey an O2 sensoor, It should plug in just afer the mesh in the cat. Some cats have a pre drilled hole for it, some dont wich means you gotta get it done at an exhaust place.

You're lucky, for not having your p's up its a one month suspension, and a 500 buk fine, and not haviong your licence is a 50 buk fine, consider yourself lucky man.

Ok WINfIEld there you go winding me up... Since i was little have been into very fast cars, not becuase they are fast, but becuase they all look so sexy. My first car was a 1991 GTO Twin Turbo... Sure its illegal to drive one, and I can gurantee you that no one you know has been pulled over as many times as i have, damn it i was pulled over on on free way 3 times on the same night within 1 hour by 3 different cops. I ofcourse got a permit from Vicroads stating that i could drive this car on my p's. which is fine. Now in regards to your "Power to Weight" Ratio that you so called got from Vic roads. Yeah sure the rule exists but it cant be legally carried out. The reason for this is the weight on your car. Now on my R32 when i had it said Tare - 1600kgs and my mates said 1400kg and my other mates said 900 kgs!!! Now i want you to prove to me that my car actually weighs exactly - ???Kgs and my car at the moment currently has ??? kw. It is impossible. For australian cars, maybe. TOGs dont even carry books for this. However this rule does apply to any car equiped with a V8. Even if you drive a Ford Bronco wich weighs like 4000kgs (slight Exag..) you cant drive one on your p's. The police cannot legally fine or even suspend you (Now thats the funniest thing i have heard) for driving a turbo charged car on your P's cuase it wont legally stand up in court, unless they take you to a weigh bridge and a dyno in the same day. I know becuase it has been tried on me in court. Stating these facts, Infront of the judge, was enough for the judge to realise that i had a valid point, and then after the court case, the cop asked me " why didnt you say all that to me on the roads, i woulnd't have bloody fined you, now i look like a moron infront of the judge, You did well mate, good stuff" Yes a cop said that to me. So there you have it. The tare on your car is actually in correct, the Tare on your 045 inspection papers is actually incorrect. so you my friend have no idea how much your car weighs. And neither do the cops. And you or the cops can prove this. so its a mutal agreement. And thats what happens when you fire me up!

Make sure you fill your oil filter up with a bit of oil, not too full, about 1/4 cuase when you start you car, there will be no oil in there if you dont fill it up. Only a few mechanics do it, its all the good ones that do it. Make sure you fill it up. those 3 seconds it takes to build up oil pressure could make all the difference...

When you say "Northern" suburbs, which area do you acutally mean... P platers can drive what ever the f.u.c.k they want as long as its not a twin turbo or v8. Thats the rules, dont worry about wieght/power ratio. Its never ever been used, and it doesnt stand up in court. If any one knows, its me! hehe

Nah man i never got it done, I cant be f.u.c.k.ed, I think the problem is bigger than i thought so im just gonna leave it till my wheel falls off. I think my Pit arm, or steering arm is f.ucked, its dripping some sort of oil, power steering oil i think..i dont whats going on down there, we'll see how it goes, i definatley need the bushes changed though, might do it myself depending on how hard it is, any one know?

Hey denham, In order to get a wheel alignment, you gotta go to someone who has a Hicas lock, cuase some places dont have it. Thre's a place in oakleigh that I used to go to get mine done. Tyre factory in dandenong can do it, but last time my mate went in there they damaged his front skirt and then denyed it, same with my mates dad's VXSS..so dont go there. If you ring up a place, just tell them its got 4ws like the honda preludes, and if they can do the honda's they can do your skyline man. Regards Sam

Hey guys Not that big of a deal, but my parkers and driver head light just **** itself one night.....i changed the globe on the head light, that was blown...but both parkers dont work, it acutally looks ok cuase i got the xenon lights. But i cheked the fuses, and they are fine, is possible i blew both parkers at the same time? surley the fuse should have gone first. Now i have big hands and it is impossble for me to change the damn parkers...any one with tiny hands? hehe

Man Whats wrong with you guys, I loooove heavy clutches. I hate a light clutch, drives me crazy, my cousin had a 4 tonne clutch in his ET turbo and i loved it to death, you can acutally feel the car with a heavy clutch. My clutch is on its way out and i want a real heavy clutch, but im tryin to sell the car, so im not sure if ill spend big dollars on it. When i got my r32 clutch replaced it came back half as light as it was before so i sold the biatch. Couldnt stand it. I felt like my foot was gonna go through the floor. I dont know if i could stand a brass button, my mates got one and its a biatch to drive...what else would you guys reccomend for a nice heavy clutch...

dont get em, i got quoted up for my 33' they dont fit properly, the offset is different. plus they are way too thin...they are made for fords and crap, saw a nice set on a s15, he had to get the wheels modified...not worth the hasle

If any one has this it would be most appreciated. If i cant find one ill just get one made up at the exhaust joint.. Need the factory intercooler piping, that goes from the manifold into the cooler in the engine bay. Thank you!
