Just wondering what peoples coolant temps are, now I know all set ups are different, as far as motor, fuel, thermos or normal clutch fan, temperature of the day etc...just want to see what peoples temps are, dunno if my cars running abit hot if people could give some details of what they have and the temps are that would be awsome

  3. After a exhaust for a r32, either a 3inch car back or just a decent rear muffler/cannon, let me know what u have.
  4. Only just from where it bolts to the front of the diff and back of the gear box, I'm going to have a look on saturday on a hoist get it up there and see what I can find when clutch is let out. It's got a brand new extreme heavy duty ceramic button clutch, all lined up fine

  8. Just recently done a engine conversion on my car, and in the process out a new clutch in. The drama I have is when I put the car is reverse and go to let the clutch out I feel this bad vibrating sound coming from the tailshaft and towards diff, it's only really from 1st gear and reverse under load that it's the loudest, can sometimes hear from other gears, have tried adjusting the clutch and clutch has done about 700km since being installed, it all was aligned properly no frames and tailshaft went back on fine. It's a extreme heavy duty sprung button ceramic clutch. If anyone could shed some light on this would be great.
  9. Tried blocking off the solenoid on back of the rack didnt work at all, just blew oil out the bottom of bracket. Does anyone have any other sugestions? Like any wires that need to be earthed out or at the ecu? And also the solenoid on the rack with the 2 wires coming out of it with the plug on it what does that have to plug into, mines not plugged in, thinking thats causing the dramas to?

  12. Well yer thats what I did to my car, pulled all the lines out to the rear of car, pulled solenoid out everything. Swapped pump to a 33 pump with just the one port coming off it, Just didn't have time to do the subframe, so lock bar so time being it was. I havnt actually checked the rear plugs, don't think I have undone anything back there. Is there any plugs that plug into the power steering rack itself fort the hicas I can't even remember if there was.

  14. Since doing my engine conversion I pulled all my hicas out and put a lock bar in, changed the pump to a rb25 pump, made sure all the system is bleed, and the steering seems heavy still. Now I do plan to put a non hicas subframe in with all new arms and stuff just havtnt done it yet. I don't know if its something I have missed but do u have to do something with the hicas ecu in the boot like cut and join to wires to trick it? If anyone can helpt that would be good, sick of semi heavy steering haha

For sale is my garrett 3037/3076 turbo, it's got 0.82 internal gate housing, bolts up to standard 6 bolt dump pipe, never used by me, got turbo and decided to go bigger, only very small amount of shaft play. Need it gone ASAP to pay for tune on my car. Item is loctaed in newcastle. Price is $1100 Ono.
  17. They wont work, the s2 have a inbuilt ignitor in the coils hence not using a ignitor, just sell s1 and get s2 ones.
  18. Would even worry bout a wrx, they are not even worth comparing, its like oranges and apples. To get decent response witb rb20, get a electronic boot controller, a aftermarket ecu, nistune is good value for money, and budget and get a tune, the tuner can bring the boost on abit earlier with the electronic boost controller so that can help, and with the turbo situation go look for a hks 2530, can make up to 230-240 kw, with excellent response, or a hypergear or a highfliwed r33 with the op6 rear housing. Ive been through the whole situation before so if i were you id be going the hks 2530

  20. As the title states im looking for a clutch to go on my r32, its having a 25 conversion soon and im looking to get this power, what clutch do people recomend? I will be doing the 25 box conversion soon, but using the rb20 box for the mean time, yes i know its not ideal, but it has to do until i get one. It will be a street car, with the going to the track when i can and the usual skid around "industrial areas" I did try a search before but didnt find what i was looking for.
  21. Could be a number of things, waste gate hole not big enough, the boost t could have played up, fautly.
  22. I brought a 3037 turbo from a guy in tasmania, his name is matthew johnson. I posted on the wtb thread and a guy gave me the details of a guy named matthew johnson who was selling this turbo kit, i dont have his name on sau but if anyone knows anything that would be a great help, i need to contact him asap as i have not recieved anything yet, i payed the money for the turbo and was told he would post it on the monday, i payed him the previous friday, now since than i tried ringing him but his phone is off and a full msg box, so im running out of ideas of how to find him to see whats going on, he didnt seem like the guy who would "scam"me but who knows these days. If anyone has any info on him or if he is reading this i need him to contact him asap, as i have payed him alot of money and want my turbo, if admin could not delete this thread that would be much appreciated.

It doesnt have that much to do with the tuner, u can only bring the boost on so much earlier with a EBC, the rb20 is just not the motor to go putting a bigger turbo on, its how there all put together, there a good motor, pulls all the way to redline, the 2530 is the best one u can put on it, killer response, good overall power. 2535 not the best choice.
