I am wondering what is it that makes the deep sounding exhaust to a rb20, is it the type of muffler box used or the cannon tip? I have heard some and they sound awsome. Do i get a rear cannon, with a center muffler, or not center muffler or a hotdog where the center muffler would be? If anyone knows what brands are best, and if a cannon on the back is what does it that would be awsome.

It shouldnt have damaged anything, there is also a really little vacum hose under the manifold, its only very small and makes that hissing noise, it probably wasnt the one u knocked off but for the record anyway.

Yea obviously i brought a plain silver one, either black or silver ones are fine, there both the same as far as cooling wise id imagine. As far as i knew thought they only sold the one type of fmic

Looking to buy a fabbed airbox to suit a r32, would like a carbon fibre one if anyone has one or knows where i could get one from, or just a black metal fabbed on would do. Cheers

Looking for a 3 in dump pipe to suit a r32, must be the 6 bolt rear housing type, also has to be a bell mouth style, prefered one that is all one piece. Thanks

Just soak it in wd40 the night before u do it and u will have no trouble. Stock dump is easy to get off, u can pretty much get to all the botls without a hassle, the bottom to u might have to go under the car and do it from the bottom

Is the TPS voltage set to the right voltage? That can cause a strange idle

Its just the normal stock BOV and the pipe that from the trumpet bit of it just goes to no where to the engine bay, it used to go to some pipe which took it back to the intake for the emision reasons, but since upgrading to another turbo i had to get rid of all that so that bit of pipe just vents to the engine bay, and no other pipes have been blocked either

Air cant go back through that pipe coz the BOV will be closed so how will air go back through it? It done it also still with a aftermarket BOV with a trumpet end aswell

Hey guys, just got a problem hoping someone can help me with it or point me in the right direction to get it fixed. I have a rb20 with a turbo from hypergear, nistune ecu, injectors, front mount, full exhaust all the usual mods, when i rev it out from 1st gear to second gear in high rpm it bogs down/lag and then the power kicks back in once ur in second gear, its almost feels like u slam on the brakes inbetween the gear change. Uts getting really annoying and i dont know what it could be, i thought it could be the BOV, coz i had it blocked off so i thought it might have been the air going back out the turbo slowing the wheel down but unblocked it and it still does it, i also have the pipe that comes off the BOV just pointing into the engine bay, not back into the intake, its still a stock BOV aswell. If anyone could help me out that would be much appreciated.

I just brought a hypergear turbo and i have heard from people they say if you use a 3inch metal intake on the cold side of the turbo it gets the most of the power out of the turbo? Anyone know anything about this? If so some info would be great and what i need to do it? I think there is a link on the hypergear page if anyone has it could they post it up? Cheers

Haha i know if u want a gtr buy one, dont just put a gtr front on and nothing else!

Yer nothing worse than seeing that, just mount ur cooler right and u shouldnt have to chop anything, i didnt chop any of my front bar, i do have a type m front bumper, bit different to stock one

How much is that turbo for a rb20? Thats all well and good talking about a neo in a rb20, no doubt that they are a more torquey motor and such, but this is only my first skyline, and i still have a decent engine in it, no knocks or noises as of yet, so im going to put it though its paces than move onto another engine, thinking of a rb25, but for now im going to aim for 220kw for now if i get more that will be good, defantly thinking of a turbo from hypergear, they seem like turbos and people have given them good feedback

Yer thats true but u can still get good power out of them and still not be a lag monster, still got a fresh rb20 in it, may aswell see what i can get out it before a new motor

Yer i dont want it to be a lag monster thats for sure. What turbo do u recomend to achieve 220kw -240kw with stock, still low mount on a rb20? And when does it start to spool up and make full boot?

Reakon i could get a hypergear turbo to 250kw on a rb20 without to much lag?

Yer i was thinking one of them but im trying to stick with the 6 bolt turbo housing to fit my dump pipe already but its a good one to look for

Haha thanks for the feedback guys ill steer away from them! Pretty expensive for chinese brand! I have heard that high flowing a 25 turbo can be laggy? Not to sure havnt really looked into to it much? Anyone got one on there car and no if its laggy? My other option is going a hks 2530
