What's your repair method? Interested to hear cos mine's intermittant... (sorry to hijack)
-
I have seen one before on that bbc skyline gtr dvd. The guy was using it to jack up the R34 at the 'Ring and I remember thinking to myself "that would be a good jack to have"... They're out there - just have no idea where. Bound to be pricey though...

Fitting 60mm Gauge In Greddy Panel
kasanoff replied to mle808's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
mine was like that too at the top edge...my solution was to get a heat gun and make it soft enough so you can mould it better to the pillar (you could prolly also do the same with a hair dryer - it would just take a little longer). I also smoothed the sharp-angled edge so it followed the contours a little better. don't be afraid to mod the mods -
I reckon these jacks look the shiznit: http://www.ultimategarage.com/acjacks.html but my god, the price...

Fitting 60mm Gauge In Greddy Panel
kasanoff replied to mle808's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
I've got the Greddy dual pillar pod and my Defis wouldn't fit in there. It's made of plastic so I just got some sandpaper and ran it over the inside edges a few times until it fit. Don't go cutting it. Sand it down bit by bit - testing it along the way until you get a snug fit -
what guages have you got? you'll need to make sure you have: 1 - the actual sensor (eg. oil temp sensor) 2- wire to conect the sensor to the control unit 3 - wire to connect the gauge to the control unit if the control unit's already wired in then it will be very simple to get the guages happening...

lol...yeah i remember that guy. He was up my arse for a while there and even flashed his high beams at me once or twice. I was like "?? What the hell do you want me to do?!" ah well - nice drive nonetheless...

Warming Up And Cooling Down Skyline
kasanoff replied to michadoo's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
remote start is cool... i start mine as i step out of the house in the mornings and by the time i've walked to the car stepped in and put on my belt, a good 60s have passed then i just take it easy as everyone else does... -
i spent a while looking for a black car that had it's paint work in good condition. I spend a lot of time trying to keep it in that condition too - weekly washing with one or two quick detail sessions in between (i'm a bit anal) it's worth when you see a dark coloured car in the right light - looks sinister

kasanoff replied to nismo_au's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
same...i've got white bfs and don't have a problem seeing them in the daytime if you're really having trouble seeing them you can turn the brightness up - somewhat blinding in the night time then hehe i leave mine on the lowest brightness in both day and night mode -
Viper 791xv's Turbo Timer Setting
kasanoff replied to ZILR-34's topic in Forced Induction Performance
I downloaded a pdf manual from the net when I lost my manual. I used it to set my turbo timer to run for a shorter period of time - I've got the 591XV... I'd offer you the pdf (i'm assuming the programming instructions would be fairly similar) but I must have deleted the pdf lol. have a search on google - cos I don't think i found it on Viper/DEI's site... -

What Five Cars Would You Want In Your Garage?
kasanoff replied to geno8r's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I wouldn't mind one of these (prolly the most sensible of the lot)... One of these... One of these... One of these... And one of these... ...and I don't care if it's against the rules - it's my garage!
