heasman's done a good job on my car adj my handeling pack and replacing a wheel stud. But,their hourly rate sucks.I was charged $80.00 an hour it ended up coming to just under $400 dollars.

They were working on some serious race cars when i was there.

But i have no complaints about the quality of the workmanship. And i have never heard of anyone coming from there haveing a complaint about them.I hear allot of complaints about the workmanship of pedders though.

M2C....

Not surprised. Bilstein make some of the nicest suspension components around. If I didn't want the in-cabin adjustability of Tein coilovers, I'd probably save my pennies and get a Bilstein kit.

Pedders is like the kebab shop of the suspension world. You only go there if you're desperate and not quite right in the head, and you're sure to feel nauseous and regretful afterwards.

Hey all,

I work in the motorsport department of Bilstein Australia and we are located in the same building as Heasmans Steering.

The guys in the workshop do really good work, and its rare that we have customers come back unsatified. Generally they come back with more work as they were happy with the service they recieved last time.

Admitedly, sometimes the wrok can be a little slow due to the high number of cars coming through the shop. However i think this reflects on the number of satisfied customers and the aim to get each job done right.

Also dont forget that there is the motrosport division on sight who are more than happy to speak with you about shock rates, wheel alignment and general suspension settings. We also modify, revalve and service Bilsteins on site and can perform corner weighting on site.

Feel free to drop me an email if you have any questions...

Also, i drive a 200sx and am a member of the Nissan sports car club, so i have an interest in performance Nissans.

Cheers,

Jono

    • Hopefully you can just unbolt them, thank them for their service, then bin them and not replace them Apparently the sensors like to set them off with only minor impacts at low speed It looks like they do a delete kit for some of these, but, it is costly

    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
