I am looking for a switched on well spoken school leaver for a job I've got so I want to know the best place to advertise.

I'm a bit out of the loop.

SMH, seek, other?

What do you think I should pay them for a full time city office job?

Well, i found my job at seek.com. It is a good place to advertise but is pretty expensive from what i hear. If it helps you, i got my first office job straight out of school as a junior and was payed 25 000 plus super a year. 6 months later, i'm now a paralegal at that firm and i'm making 30 000 a year plus super. Hope this helps you

I'm not a school leaver anymore, but I am thinking about making a career change....

PM me what you got Adam~

Also, we have an entire recruitment database here, I could possibly refer a few people (potentials) to you. But shotgun if it's full sick position :)

Stan.. I think you'll be out of his desired pay range..

Adam - what position is it for.. I would say seek.com.au is a good place to start advertising.. you could also look at getting a uni graduate depending on the role..

if it's in IT.. i would suggest this.. average salary for uni graduate is approx $35k.. school leaver.. well.. $25k - $30 would probably be a fair bit..

it's hard to syphon out the good guys from the crap house though as they really won't have much experience under their belt..

lol stan!

Maybe talk directly to a few school career councellor's (spelling? :) ) as they typically have direct contact with finishing hsc students. That way, through one free 'advertisment', that person can contact anywhere up to 200 potential employees and you dont even have to lift a finger!!

Oh as for the salary;

Office jobs for entry-level start at $17-$18 per hour... which equates to the following:

Full Time Salary P.A. - $35.3k to $37.4k

+ 9% Super - $38.4k to $40.8k

Other FBT benefits are all up to you; usually doesn't happen for such income levels; but just a reference.

Uni websites are shit; our company has found that 75% of the applicants from Uni sites are either:

1) Expecting $50k+ just because they've got a degree

or

2) Just got off the plane and are no more than tourists!

Hmmmm, maybe i should be asking for more money. It does come down to who the person is. I had no experiene at all when i started and i'm apparently working right now lol. Looks like i'm typing a letter to a client or something but i'm on SAU

I think Stan's "salary ranges" are a bit overzealous.. reality is - most people leaving school will get $12 -$14/hr.. maybe more.. but I doubt much more..

Most uni graduates who I finished with were looking for jobs with $40k max.. most didn't get that.. only people who got graduate positions came close to $50k and most of those are working for large law firms and the such working a hell of a lot of hours..

Not sure about your research stan but reality says people will go for anything if that's what they can get..

Mate,

Sorry mate gotta disagree with you there. Most of uni students will work for far less that amount, obviously depends on the degree. Alot of uni students would work to gain the valuable experience and later piss off when they've got the experience to earn bigger bucks..

must admitt first year out of uni was a bitch trying to look for a job and i took pretty much anything related to i.t which was brought my way.

Just a note, if you expect to hire someone from uni or tafe, don't expect to have them stick around for more than 3-6 months.. just from previous experiences

good point disturbed.. and make sure you filter block seek.com.au for anyone you employ lol.. that way it should make it a bit harder for them to find a new job..

a good way to keep people interested is higher them for a bit less.. than after 2 or 3 months.. give them a pay rise.. than after 6 months the same again - makes them feel like they really are doing a good job..

eh!.. i'm just giving ideas here! :)

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
