Hey everyone

Im from Melbourne, Vic. And have recently purchaced heaps of upgrade performance part for my R33 Gtst. One of which is a Nitrous Kit.

Does anyone know the legal restrictions to these?

for example FINES, REGULATIONS, ETC ETC

Cheers

Its illegal for street use.

That simple.

If you take the bottle out, then your legal for street, but then its of no use without gas :)

Fines would be high, plus then you get defected its all the RWC hassles and more costs to remove etc etc.

i did have a nitro setup before i did my turbo and cooler etc, and i hid the bottle in the place where the useless space saver spare wheel went... the cops never looked there, once they saw how much sound crap was in there it deturred them. its a a long run of hose, but hey, youd probably never get dun 4 it.... NOT SAYING THAT I CONDONE DOING ILLEGAL SHIT...lol

illegal shit... not at all... lol

I've actually built a custom boot setup so i was thinking about storing it next to the battery in the back of my r33 gtst. Theres heaps of room on the right side. (batteries on the left)

Cheers

Cops arent stupid these days, they know what NOS injection/extra solenoids are.

Last time i heard of someone busted with NOS here in Vic.

That had to tow the car home from where they were pulled over and wasnt driveable until engineer cleared the car for correct removal of all the gear

its your own risk

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
