I have decided to give tuning the standard ECU a go. I have had ECUs chiped by other people but have never burnt my own.

My electronic knowlege is limited but i have built a Jaycar DFA and EBC kit without any problems.

I am looking for any advice as to where I can buy an eprom burner in australia.

silicon chip programmer here

I was thinking of buying this kit but i would prefer to but a pre built programmer if possible. so if you know of one please post its info in the thread below.

Does anyone in canberra burn eproms?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :unsure:

I have also found this one and it looks like it will work has anyone used it? or do you know if it is suitable for buring R32 chips?

yeah the bikirom looks good but i want to be able to burn chips for other people too :unsure:

thanks peoples. I have settled for a very simple burner that does 27 and 28 series chips as well as EEprom and PIC stuff

it's protable reliable and ony a couple of hundred $$$

thanks for the help. I will soon be burning roms for myself and others who need them.

      Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.

      Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?

      What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2.       I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
