My little linux box is dead, so I'll need to get another one together. Most likely upgrade and use the current madaz p4 4.05ghz killer (AMD xp3200+) as the linux box/game server box. hehe

And I thought PS3 would be next gen hardware. Shows how much they say "Itll never get any better than this" it always does. PC will always be better than a PS or an XBOX no matter what they do to make the console as cheap but with more power. only thing is its easier to take ur ps3 or xbox360 to a mates house to play pro evolution soccer than it is to take ur whole pc whilst being extremely careful then spedning 5 hours setting up LAN connections and firewalls and shit and then playing games and transfering files across the network which u cant do at the same time.... Go the multitap.

im guessing they use some sort of physical mapping system by using some sort of electric suit wired up to read every single line of her face and body, like they do in games but here more detailed, then they compute the geometry in far more detail to smooth it all out, then apply textures then render it then tahts it. that easy but all the much harder. EDIT: Thats on a G80? fark me that things going places, but without a core2duo extreme any system currently will be a bottleneck. I got a 7950GX2 and it looks like ill be selling it early.

Ps3 technology is old nowdays...

It is easier to move the console, but when can u get 2+ mates to hook it up and lan games or over the net? I regularly pack my pc to take with me over the weekends (which i un pack too) so say 2 times a week EVERY week. Its not hard at all, or time consuming. I had a mate come over for a lan, which took all of 3 mins to get setup...

I meant like 5-6 computers, all coming from either home or from their own businesses with their own Dynamic IP ranges set up and all that shit, they want to be able to keep those settings to plug straight back home and then keep doing their work or whatever. Thats when it gets time consuming. I have done a LAN transfer files/ playing games thing only once with my computer, the hardware superceeded all theirs and this was around a month ago, my computer had a ping of around 120 the whole time playing and it had nothing to do with the router, yet on my network at home its fine. No one can tell me a Core2Duo E6800, 2 gigs of DDR2800, with a 7950GX2 running on a totally fine gigabit ethernet controller on the motherboard could be so slow. someones settings was screwing me up and we couldnt work it out, so i just said screw it and let my machine go.

Oh and on the ps3 note, Id say the technology is well developed, but dont get it wrong the product is unrealeased and the technology is untested. Therefore the technology is "new".

Latency not the same as bandwidth.

Your issue would have been a hardware driver, combination or setup issue.

Sometimes having the latest and greatest hardware is not such a good thing.

A good old 10mbs lan will yield a 0-1ms ping so I'd say your issue is else where other than you owning a fast new computer.

Did you check/swap your patch cable?

Computers suck at times. ;)

yeh patch cable was all good, drivers all latest, (so far as i could tell the only ones for some harware at the time!) and settings matches etc. it was probably a driver issue or a hardware incompatability/ interference issue but its been sorted out since, an updated marvel-yukon gigabit driver was realsed for my chipset and it all worked fine after that. the latest and greatest hardware might not be the most compatible with other things true but its damn quick, efficient and the games and applications i run look mighty fine on my 22in WS monitor running at 1690x1050.

yes computers do suck at times, i use them, fix them, monitor them, replace them, configure them, break them everyday in my job.

    • Hi all, considering clutch upgrade to support 1130 engine hp from 1650cc injectors on e50 at 85% duty cycle (1650 x (11.85/14.7) x 85%). Narrows down to these three as they can be converted to use gm 26 spline input shaft if I ever want to use transmission with that input shaft (orc1000f and r3c easy/cheap just change center hub; tr2cd pricier must change clutch discs). Pricing orc1000f similar to tr2cd, r3c about usd 200 pricier. Orc1000f triple plate 200mm. Tr2cd twin plate 215mm. R3c triple plate 215mm. Claimed max torque : orc 1000f 723 lbs ft; tr2cd 800 lbs ft; r3c 1100 lbs ft. Why orc1000f triple plate but claims lower max torque vs tr2cd twins? Is orc1000f underrated? Any info maxing out these clutches? Info on street/traffic driveability/pedal feel? Thank you for any info on them.
    • Some troubleshooting, connect up a timing light/gun with a proper ignition lead on coil 1. Hold the revs at 4~4500rpm and see if your timing is all over the shop, scattering off its tits. If so, there's a high chance your CAS is fked. But I read you have a Link ECU ready to go in, why not just skip all this and put that in - will make troubleshooting so much easier.
    • Misfires when the car is fully warm are generally attributed to the coils (and/or the igniter, on cars with a separate igniter). They can stop working properly when they get hot for a number of reasons. Either electric/electronic, or from thermal expansion opening up gaps and allowing HV leakage. Seeing as you have replaced the coils, that could/should rule them out. But I wouldn't always assume so. Were the coils genuine? Or is there a chance you have bought some counterfeit Chinesium shit? Then we're back onto loom connections. They can fail when warm/hot for the same reasons. Inspections, cleaning of contact surfaces, ensuring that terminals are fully inserted, etc etc, are all justified. The same (heat effects) holds true for the other electrics and their connectors. AFM & CAS, primarily. If you try that Chinesium AFM, drive it around on low load until it is properly hot, but do'nt give it more load than you have to, except when you need to see if it will still miss. I'm dead serious about the untrustworthiness of the calibration of those copy AFMs. Injectors are unlikely to get hot unless the fuel is coming back around hot. You could try squirting them with compressed air or freeze spray to cool them back down to see if they are maybe the cause.
    • Alright, all the plugs looks good. Noticed that it starts to get bad when the car is up to temp, that's when things starts to misfire hard. next to do is Injector cleaning and such. Got in touch with a shop to do work on the injectors next Monday also help on diagnosis.
