TTT
Hi, My missus is planing on buying a new car when we move up to Brisbane. all the adds state $xxx + govt and statutory charges and so on. so what are these costs? a percentage of the purchase price? a set amount? is it different from NSW to QLD? RBwhatever
I' pretty sure stamp duty is 2% of the price of the car. So whatever the car is worth, stamp duty will be 2% of that. And statutory charges is (i think) the extra money you pay for warranty on the car for x amount of months or whatever the dealer is offering (thats if you want to pay for warranty). It sounds like your looking at purchasing from a dealership yeah?? Check the QLD classified section aswell Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/115827-govt-and-stamp-duty-charges/#findComment-2132390 Share on other sites
