Looking For Expression Of Interest To Best Importing Service Coming To Adelaide!

Iam looking at the number of possible people interested in importing a car direct from jap from me in the near future, so this is an expression of interest to see if this service is worth doing.

I have been in this business since 1999, but over the last year with the new introduction of SEVS the prices of compliance and whole importing process has increased dramatically and made more difficult by the government to reduce imports coming into the county.

I have helped many friends and family import cars from japan as well as myself more as a hobbie. Instead i have thought of starting a business to make some income doing what i do best and enjoy doing.

If there are a high expression of interest i will properly register my Australian business number and get required licenses and become a sponsor on SAU. This will be a dedicated importing service offered to Adelaide people only. Why? please read on...

Details of service i will provide when importing through me:

Iam a member of japanese auctions all over japan and have reliable and well known contact in japan to bid on cars for me and even personally inspect cars at certain auctions. There will be all pictures provided, engineers report and full translation.

Ok but we all know all brokers have this service, duh

BUT, I will be working with a good friend in conjunction with a compliance company in Adelaide and will work together to offer the best compliance prices in the country.

YES, so this means all cars imported through me will get the LOWEST COMPLIANCE PRICE IN AUSTRALIA!! (this is a saving of around $2000 alone)

So what else is so different with the importing service provided by me??

Most importing brokers such as the very well know prestigemotorsport, jspec and so on all do the same thing and offer the same service. I will be doing exactly the same thing.

BUT, I will personally do EVERYTHING for you so you dont just get directed time after time to this person for that, that person for this.

I will:

Search for the car or cars you want (unlimited number of cars to search with 1 service fee)

Call you to discuss any car that comes up that suits your criteria

Organise full translation and show all pictures and engineers report with explanation

Discuss your top bid and work out the total on rd cost if you were to be sucessful in auction

From here you just sit back and wait for your ride to be delivered to your driveway or straight to compliance

I will from here get all the following done for you:

Get car transported to docks in japan and booked on for next vessle (once confirmed exact date of arrival will be given)

All paper work done and transfered, deregister car in japan, get invoice, money transfered, bill of lading, get dereg certificate, get import approval etc etc etc.....

Once car arrives i will take care of all the agency work for the lowest fees and prices in australia!!

We will take care of all quaranteen (personally clean your car if dirty at no extra cost so you dont fail and have to pay hundreds more in next complicated proceedures)

Once all paperwork has been done and quaranteen passed, i will go down with you to collect car or I can get my mate to tow anywhere in Adelaide for only $30 (special mates rate surely cheapest in the country)

From here i will take your car through compliance and around 2 weeks later shes on the wonderful pot hole roads of adelaide

All identity inspection report and registration papers will be done and ready.

Just register and enjoy!! I can personally do that for you, go with you to do it or do it on your own.

I will never leave you in the dark, I will always be there every step you take. NOW THATS SERVICE.

Cars im only importing for now include:

R33 GTS/GTST/GTR

180SX turbo and non turbos from ca18s to updated type x models

Supra SZ/RZ

Also race cars (SEVS) and pre 1988 cars.

Cars in the future includes:

R34

R32

EVO (Enquire if your interested in bring in a test car)

RX7 S8 (Enquire if your interested in bring in a test car)

Toyota Prius.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE YOUR THOUGHTS HERE AND AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR AND ILL PM YOU A QUOTE (must be a car listed above that are available now)

I know it is not on the list but i am after either a r34 GTR Vspec and want to pay no more than 60G's on road, or 93 r32 gtr (max 18gs) or s8 Rx7.

send me a line at [email protected] and let me know if you think it can be done.

yes i can help you with anyone of those cars with those budgets but the rx7 would have to be done intereste. The best one would be the rx7 as its not that much more than the r32 gtr.

Do you have msn? i can send you some examples.

To get the ball rolling, how cheap you ponder??

R33 GTS-Turbos from $8000

What sort of R33 GTS-T condition-wise does 8k get you?

How about something that's manual, stock as possible, 2 door and in 'good' condition and probably around 150,000k

edit: probably not interested, like, right now - but a little later in the year probably - will keep you in mind!

Hate to wreck you buisness plan but your access could not be as wide spread as j-spec and there customer service is A1 i talk to craig personally 3-4 times a week. Not knocking you but jspec had direct access to almost all bar a couple of auctions every week with people on the ground ready to inspect the cars wether they be north or south japan.

for customer sake i suggest j-spec

all have their good and bad stories.

Ive heard many a good story about Jspec and Prestige.... also heard a few bad ones.

some reports are particularly scathing in regards to customer service.

other reports are particularly glowing about the customer servce.

IMO still a bit of a lottery. Part of the reason why I bought a freshly complied Stagea (other reason was it was the cheapest in Australia at the time - 18k in July '05, imported Sept '04 for 26k+).

anyways - Im sure popeye would be able to offer a supreme level of customer service!

your welcome to check out some of my cars that ive imported for similar prices that i have at home now. Just sold one last wk which u may have seen on tradingpost last wk for $9000. All cars are in good condition as SEVS are very strict, if u import junk they will fail you and your car will have to be wrecked and never be able to comply. I only import clean non damaged cars so i dont risk failing compliance.

My contact is 0412500318 if u wanna discuss more.

yes, no matter how good the import broker is some things are not possible to control. All import brokers do the same thing and im doing no different except i offer that extra mile in service and save you more $$$. For example, i cant say if any parts are going to get stolen, ive had a few shift knobs stolen and a apexi boost face taken. You may have some scratches, dents, damage on body you didnt expect or some mechanical problems etc. Sometimes you get lucky also, its like a lottery sometimes as ive bought an R33 once that had a huge top mounted td06 turbo that wasnt even mentioned in the engineers report.

Auctions are all the same, its a risk and your buying a car without inspecting it or driving it so sometimes it can be unfortunate for some people. I have never had any problems besides from 3 stolen shift knobs and apexi ebc and thats out of 18 cars so far (now i tell my buyer to take em off and hide them) but thats the risk of importing otherwise you should buy cars already imported here by dealers and pay their HUGE markup prices.

i understand, i also can get personal inspection at certain auctions my friend lives at and can take additional photos if required. I have access to all auctions in japan as im an iauc member. I dont expect to have a big business running like they do, im only offering this service to adelaide people so i can help do everything for them. I like to do business face to face instead of over the phone being directed one place after another. Im doing exactly what all import brokers do but i save you over $2000 at the end of the day guaranteed and do EVERYTHING for you

R33 GTS-Turbos from $8000 spec2s, from $9500

180SX SR20DET from $8000

96+ Type X from $9000

SZ supra from $10000

RZ Supra from $13000

YES, these are landed and complied prices.

please note prices are "from" that quote range, by that theyre auto and manuals are $1000-$2000 more expensive. Obviously lower kms are gonna increase prices more. Buying cars with just over 100km will reduce prices dramatically.

Also the collectors items such as r32 gtrs can be very very expensive if your looking for genuine low km and non damage. However, i can find what ever they customer wants but be realistic.

    • Took a little trip  went to nismo hoping the get my fuel tank hoses and unfortunately they told me they didn’t have stock luckily I was able to go to a Nissan parts store and they were able to order them in for me  then can home and cleaned the tank with some degreaser and fitted the new hoses before putting it back in the car
    • 100% I’ll hack into the 33. Strap a turbo onto the RB25DE and/or put the 25 head on a 30 block. 33 passed in cos the reserve was too high. I’ll try lowballing it again and negotiate. Aim is to have it landed and on the road for under 15k, then spend the same amount on top in mods.
    • It's generally best practise to run 1x run without VCT enabled, then 1x run enabled till redline. Overlay the two torque graphs and you'll find the desired RPM to turn off VCT. Sometimes, it might be even worthwhile turning off VCT earlier control torque/cylinder pressure and using VCT purely to spool the turbo.
    • They sell them in Malaysia for about $4
    • First time I ever have issues with Amazon, but my wife often tells me to keep an eye out for fakes. It finally got me. I wrapped up the conversation with Gates. The gentlemen I was talking to seemed to hate his job but the response time on their technical support is outstanding. He stated that the hose is marked with some variation of "SAE J30R10" but that if you only purchase a 1 foot length like I did, it is possible to get a cut between markings and have a blank hose. To no ones surprise, he stated the swelling and "gummyness" isn't normal and to replace/buy from somewhere else (He mentioned NAPA). I'll toss a small end of the new one in gas for a few days before pulling the hanger out again, just to be safe.  Hose should arrive Monday. For those running multiple pump in tank hangers, you know the joys of getting them out and back in. I'm surprised I haven't destroyed my level float yet.  Lastly once I wrap all of this up, I'm planning on hitting the dyno again in 2 weeks while I'm on vacation. I realized recently that my VCT is set to turn off at 5000RPM. I'm surprised it wasn't increased while I was on the dyno last. I'm expecting I can increase it to ~6500RPM, if not more. Should hopefully get another 15-20kw out of it. I also want him to revisit my knock thresholds. I'm occasionally getting false knock around 3000rpm.
