hi everyone,

my car is up for sale as i cannot afford it anymore. I wanted to sell it late last year due to the same reason but had a change of heart and thought i'd try and give it another go, but i beleive its for the best if i sell it and go for something less hardcore.

anyway car details below:

For sale: 1999 MY00 Impreza WRX - silver

Asking Price: $22 000 nego. (May trade for a hot supra or honda)

Killometer's: 80 000km ish

Manual or Automatic transmission: Manual

Modifications: Whiteline front strut bar, sti front lip, 18inch Alba berthas, cross/drilled brakes, new pads changed a year ago, Pioneer 7750 headunit, alpine ddlinears front 6inch splits, Blitz id-3 boost controller, blitz turbo timer, autometer tacho w/ shift light, carbon fibre pillar gauge holders, autometer boost and oil gauges, apexi pod, blitz blow off valve, 3inch turbo back exhaust with split dump, momo pedals, gear knob, viper pager alarm with tons of add-ons, 3 inch super cat muffler.

Might have forgotten some stuff. lol.

Road Worth Certificate: No, but can get one for extra.

Registration: Yes, QLD rego - 622 FTQ

Other Notes: Ever since buying the car two years ago, its been running stock boost. The boost controller was only installed less then a month ago only so i was able to lower the boost to try and save fuel. I rarely increase the boost as i can only afford $20 a week for fuel. lol. I think the last time i did increase the boost, it was set to 17psi. The car has been regularly serviced by Auto Leaders.

The car does have a few trolley dints and scrathes (grrrr). But will probably get them fixed etc before selling. The car will come with stock wheels with about 90-100% tread. I also may thrown in a brand new exedy HD sports organic clutch which i bought sometime last year as i was able to get it super cheap but its just sitting under my bed.

I may be able to lower the price if i took out the boost controller and speakers etc. So dont be afraid to ask questions.

Contact detail's: Kenny - [email protected] or PM

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
