Yeah it was mentioned at the last Berri Car Show - tho even if it goes ahead you do realize its a 3-4 hour drive from Adelaide ;\

And a 3-4 hour drive to any decent hospital for the more serious drag entrants attending :)

on the bright side you could visit the big orange while ya there

Jess your kidding right

no one in there right mind will take there car up there what if you break something

not to mention its a 1/4 the drive to melboure take half a tank of juice to get there just to watch some drags screw that for a joke them if drags finish at 11 you still have a 2-3hr drive home not cool when your already tired

Well could go camping or something there make a weekend of it, but deff not as a regular thing people would go to.

could you imagine the drive home though, 50 odd drag cars cruising along hmmmz

well theyd prob have enough of it and be tired

Hey Jess when i was working in one of the pub i used to work in i was speaking to a family about this (would be at least 3 years ago). there is already an 1/8th mile track up there and they are trying to get it extended to a full 1/4 miletrack. The father of the family was part of the drag racing commitee up there and he said that it was going to cost around the $750,000 to get it extended.

I also have heard some VERY good information about the proposed motorsport park from the brother of one of the members of the consortium, there will be an anouncement in the not to distant furture, AND WE ARE GOING TO LIKE IT.

riverland is a joke

elaborate a lil for us :(

i heard from my sisters cousins mother that lives out there (who all happen to be the same person) that it was going to be a tractor/ride on mower draggin facility.

just messing :P 1/8 mile, how much would 4wd's spank competition there

I was just passing on info :(

It is nice to have choice and maybe SA is finally stepping in the right direction...Like his interstate brothers

See what happens..

I have traveled 8 hrs to do an event from Sydney to Shepparton just for the thrill and fun of it for a weekend away...Loved every minute of it

I have also emailed AMC again as I am trying to get information on a tentative date for AIR opening..

AND WE ARE GOING TO LIKE IT.

c'mon Dale, you tell us, make the neccesary phone calls!

lol Dan, does she play a banjo and howl at the moon too

Just because we love all new information, and no I don't have the pictures mentioned in this passage or writing lol...

Stolen from calaisturbo.com.au which stole it from some other forum I don't know.

the new billboard has been installed due to the new bridge that is being constructed as part of the northern expressway project. that road will become a dead end and the houses that are there have been purchased to be demolished, aswell as a large portion of land around the scrutineering area inside the track. the new entrance will actually be from the opposite side of the raceway with larger improved parking facilities??

i have walked the entire circuit today and snapped some pics on the phone camera. with the approval of the track manager of course who was extremely friendly and quite informative to me. we spent a good 20 mins chatting about when the likely date will be to re-open (yes the million dollar question!!) i can tell you there is a fresh 1340 feet of asphalt which looks a treat! relatively flat with no major cracks through it as was posted a few months back. however that is all that has been done! there is a step up of around 2" from the burnout pad onto the track itself and the same at the deep end. the area from the finish line on has sections missing and the return track has been completely dug up (rubble down waiting for asphalt).

it is anticipated that within the next 2-3 months work will re-commence inside the track once the expressway work is done and racing WILL return shortly after. they are sick to death of doing nothing out there and yes they all read the internet forums and know what's being said about them so action is underway.

Thanks.

All this talk makes me angry, if I dont think about it then I don't get mad... Easier to just let that fat cvnt do what hes going to do and see how it goes, no point speculating.

Yeah Blob Jane will just sit on it till he drops off the perch, then it'll get sold off and turned into housing or something.

Obviously he doesn't see it as being very profitable hence the taking the time getting it ready. I would be a bit hesitant to dump s loads of money into it as well. I'm under the impression it wasn't a gold mine previously, if it was it would be finished by now. who would be saying no take ya time fixing that guys i dont want to make money. There weren't that many people there the few times I went maybe enough to make a small profit but nothing spectacular.

do you single handed hold bob lame responsible for a whole buisness shutting the doors, id say attendance was an issue along with other factors.

but i dont attend there board meetings so i wouldnt know

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
