Revs Dying At 6000rpm

Hey guys and girls,

I am posting this for a friend. He has a 94 GTST running a FMIC, airpod and full 3" exhaust and 2 stage boost controller. Everything else it stock. On low boost (7psi) it will rev out fine with no dramas, but as soon as you flick it to high boost (14psi) at 6000rpm it dies in the arse.

What would cause this and how could you overcome it?

do a search for rich and retard protection

most people list it as boost cut

drop the boost, its too much and the computer its going into protect mode

try around 10psi

dude it could be anything..... my one started dying out at 5 thousand rpm running 18psi...

people told me... afm, fuel regulator needs to be fitted on.. no fuel in it....

you know what it was.?..

it was a block in my air filter...

check the basics.....first before nething
