Problem Lies in tha ti had to replace my vee port BOV with a plumb back system for defect reasons cough cough. Now the thing is that since i did this hooked up the plumb back system correctly, started up and rough as guts idle very low almost sounds like one of those very sick sounding datsuns that some idiot put cams in, very very bad idle hunting and cant seem to work out wtf is going on,

Tried adjusting it both ways to no avail or resolution, as being one of them turbosmart type 3 plumb back bov's, all lines are hooked up and everything,

If someone might have an answer that would be great, Also smells like it is running slightly rich aswell??

I was thinking air leak somewhere but not sure?

Or please dont tell me (well do) that i need a retune of the PFC to overcome this annoying problem,

Cheers and thanks

Adam

i think you would have , but have you reconnected it to plum back into the turbo intake as that will make it

run like a datto

cheers

Would have which? to do retune or air leak, if someone aswell have experienced this that would be good and yeah its plumbed back into the turbo intake after the AFM, bit confused?

Cheers adam

Hoping for a reply asap as need car running back to normal by well asap

Cheers

Dont worry have isolated the problem, lesson learned never try to do repairs in the dark that is forsure, stupid vacuum hose to the (i think) surge tank or that black tank next to the filter with 3 top hoses

Cheers guys anyways

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
