funny stuff that, yeah look i see nothing wrong with making a low ball offer, so long as the person is serious about the offer has the money and willing to do the deal. a car is only worth the amount people will pay its that simple. i would need a hell of a lot of space to discuss my past experience so i deadset simpthasize with you on ur "sale" ive had sales go as long as 3 and 6 months. now that sucks

Thats so true dude... but i've realised that if someone wants a car bad enough they will pay what you ask but so called 'negotiation' for cars ALWAYS happens. Definition for this topic is "BALL BREAKERS".

Mine was advertised for a price.... I ended up paying that price (with some extras thrown in). I was a bastard about things being road worthy and tyres being decent.

Depending on their asking price, I'll pay, however, it better be in the condition for that price.

Dreams are annoying, give you $200 for a $500 item... err no... well I'll go elsewhere and get better for $250....

Ahh just reminds me so much of boostcruising, always people "That's what worth blah blah" when it's the market rate for the area ;) Too many tossers, but if you want to sell your goods you just be paitent and take it like a man.

Althought, if a person hasn't bought the car within 2 weeks consider him gone, or ask for a higher deposit (eg. they paid $50, then make them pay $500 if it's been 2 weeks, then $1000 more after 4 weeks). Heck they might even slowly pay off the car while it's in your hands haha.

Dealers aren't the only ones that will try to pressure you into buying. The first r33 I looked at was a bit bargain basement re: paint and interior, but the price was an absolute steal. Was almost considering buying it until i took it for a drive and noticed a bit of smoke when you shift gears.... :) when i said i'd get back to him the dude panicked and knocked $500 off his asking price. I'm trying to get away and he knocks ANOTHER $500 off the price. He was practically begging me to take it and he starts getting shitty telling me i'll never get a better deal etc. Then on the way home he rings me to tell me hes had an offer and do i want to make him an offer before he sells it to the other guy :( He just wouldnt give up. I couldve got it for a song but i knew that little bit of smoke was going to be worth big $$$ sooner or later. Not to mention it looked like he'd had a few orgies inside it :D

"i love GTR owners thinking theyre gods mostly cause they have a GTR... "

Yes and the problem with that is... :D *looks adoringly at his GT-R*

"...The f**kwit keeps calling me over the next 2 weeks to see how I'm going and have a chat. Either he wanted to get f**ked in the ass or he doesn't have any friends but at this point I really knew this guy was a headcase f**kwit..."
:(

I know we've moved on to tyre kickers but what about our own back yard...Someone posts their stuff for $XX and the next thing a member is posting that his mate can get one from busted-arse-astan for $xx-10%. then its on...thats crap

luvs it, i take it you are the one selling the big hp r33 gtr. read through your thread many times to see how the sale is going. i personally think if a person were really that interested they would call or PM you for a contact number and take it from there. when i saw my car advertised, recieved some photos, looked at it few days after and went out to buy it with cash/bank cheque. no internet chat required. its a nice gtr, good luck with the sale.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
