Disaster has struck,

Slipping to Devonport via Frankford Saturday

Minding my own business

Just reached the new plantation area

when a wallaby decided to cross without first looking both ways

end result = My skyline -1 front bar Tasmanias wallaby population -1

I did take great delight in seeing the crows picking at the carcass on my way home

If anybody knows of a front bar to suit 32 gts-t getting around i'm in the market for one.

Cheers all,

Tassie Devil

Doesn't look good but pretty lucky considering it could of been alot worst than that!!!

Shouldn't be too hard to fix, good luck with the repairs

tell me about it, last night doing 60 on the back road to youngtown in lton, and i clipped one too, the buga went under the car, checked today, only slight missing paint. AGAIN.

Sorry to hear about your damage.but it looks preatty fixable. There is a guy in hobart that does some excellent plastic welding, he is monnah, so you might check out the yellow pages

There are a couple of peeps around that are great plastic welders but you sorta get what you pay for like anything these days.

I know a few people that are great at what they do and more than happy to do things out of hours so if your down south and cant find anyone let me know :D

hi shane

i have a spare front bar. its a stock skyline one with fog lights in it. looks pretty nice but it needs a few little bits fixed and its gunmetal in colour so it would need a spray. which you would need anyway. maybe worth looking at, maybe not. offers there anyway mate.

it doesnt look that bad, and should be fixable quite easly. otherwise todd (catkicker) might have one?

and it could be worse, one of my mates brothers brought a brand new XR6 sedan, took it on a road trip, and a roo hit his car, smashed the rear drivers side door in pretty bad :ninja:

    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
