Hey All,

I’ve noticed my seat belt has frayed near where it joins to the seats.

So I need to get them replaced, any 1 have any places they recommend?

ive been told you need to take it to a workshop registered or licensed to fit seat belts.

can you just get seat belts from any model of car, or do they have to be gtr seatbelts? just wondering what my options are.

im not keen on racing harness though as im not that much of a racer.

If its just frayed a bit on the edges, just get a lighter on to it and burn the freying away! Other than that if the belts are the same in another model Line then no doubt you could use them but i'm sure you'd be able to find some 32 GTR ones at a wrecker here somewhere!

It is illegal for wreckers to sell seat belts, so I doubt they will.

Sorry I can't help with where to get them though.

I had to do this a while ago for the pulsar, and you will not get a wrecker in Adelaide that will sell you 2nd hand seat belts.

Options are buy it from nissan, or go to Wiltshires (on south Rd - I think correct spelling) to get them to replace or repair your belts. There are a few other places around town, 1 north enfield way, that will do the same however I do not know there names.

Yeh no s#@t??? I wouldn't have thought it would be a issue provided they are still in working order, BANG you learn something new everyday!

They cant due to legallity issues, if you have a car crash and the seatbelt breaks they are liable.

I spent $287 for 2 new front seat belts for my 32 4dr.

They were custom made and took 2 weeks to get back to me.

ALTHOUGH they dont fit.

The B Pillar Adjustment bracket plastic thingy will not fit into the mounting bracket on the new seat belts. Took them back and they swore that they were custom made for my car.

BAH BOOHHHHHH.

Go to Wilshires and get them made properly. Dont waste your time with other places.

PS. I still havent got seat belts that fit my car.

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
