yesterday i pressed the button to retract my wing mirrors and they retracted perfectly.

then i pressed the button for them to go back out. and they didnt budge.

the buttons worked fine to move the mirror direction around once they were retracted so i thought that might rule out the 'loose connection' theory i had at first.

in the end i pushed the mirrors back into place..

has anyone had this happen?

its not a massive deal, but it would be nice to fix this problem if i could... any ideas =] ?

I duno what skyline you have, but on my 32 there is one button for mirror fold in/out and a seoperate button for moving the mirror itself up down etc.

To me it sounds like the motor is fine because they retract so I would check just the retraction mirror button, the contacts on the part for opening mirrors back out might be really dirty....

Dude takes 30 minutes to do. Instead of using glue to hold the electrical contact in place - melt a plastic fork (the white ones) and push the plastic in with your finger. It goes in no time and then you just need to put it back on.

Fixing the retract will stop wing mirror scrapes.

Up to you.
