What that thread doesn't allow for is the fact that the z tune was hand crafted by nismo engineers. The amount of detail and precision that went into that car is insane, i have watched a documentary one it. The a pillar forward is carbon fibre, the brakes as specially built for the car, the suspension is insane. All this and much more means this is not your regular 330awke GTR, its power delivery would be far more reliable and linear. I can't count the amount of places I have read that this car has completed 0-400m in times from 10.02 seconds - 10.2secs... NOT 10.9 +

Carbon fibre body parts, special brakes and insane suspension do not make a 330awkw GTR run 10 second flat! The fact you said you have READ that the Z tune does 0-400 in 10.02 doesnt mean it really does. Some details are missing in the story. like what GT-R32 said, it probably was the prototype Ztune with 450rwkw plus that completed the 10.02 pass, maybe.

Don't base your argument with the stuff you have read but don't really know. Go to a real drag event and learn, then you will see whats required to run a 10 sec pass.

Yeah the 20 every built are probably doing 0-400m in 15 seconds and are pieces of shit.... im sure the fact that "In beast motoring #15 the Nismo Z-tune broke the street car lap record previously held by the Ferrari F360R." means nothing also because everything is based on what other cars with 330awkw can do at the drags.

The amount of engineering that went into developing that car and testing on the Nurburgring, the suspension alone is worth $20,000 USD ( but i read that so it must be wrong) yet you compare it to people at the drags.....

No one was judging the Z tune based on its "0-400m" capability alone. I was simply pointing out the fact that a factory standard 500ps Z tune can not complete 0-400m in 10.02s. Many "educated" people here agree with me on this point.

Now stop hijacking this thread. If you still find it hard to believe then start another thread in the Drift & Drag section. I'm sure you will get plenty of "discussions" there.

Back on the topic. I like the TechArt version better actually. I mean if you want a tuned Porsche might as well get the most aggressive looking one :)

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
