Indicator Tinting

I want to tint my indicators darker, and today i bought what i thought would be ok, tested it on a piece of perspex before i used my indicators and it was just like normal paint, i used a high gloss black laquer, but it was more like an enamel really. I found a product on eBay called VHT Nightshade (something like thta) which is specifically for this purpose, but wondering if there is a product i could get locally instead of shipping from the US ??

any experience with this ?

went down to local auto pro today and picked up VHT nightshade for anyone who;s interested. its a specific tinting spray for car lights, hope this helps anyone with the same issues

I've tried nightshades to do the indicators on my last car. My tip is, spray at about 40-50cm distance, very very light sprays until you get just the colour you want. That stuff is *thick*.

Just watch out for the law bro, what you do is nice and all, but if you change the colour or making darker/brighter etc you a nice yellowy thing might be coming your way. but yeah, sounds great, remember pics.

does your indicator still blink an orange colour or is it a different colour since of the darker tint. just wondering

Yeah i used the same product on the tail lights on my last car.

I found it to be really thin so it runs really easy. it is also illegal but looks awesome and pits is only $56
