compliance place has their own but I was hoping to offer them these parts as spares for a reduced price or to sell them to recover some of the cost of buying the car.

Although not sure how much a set of standard stagea rims with rubber would fetch nor an exhaust.

The reason behind it I am told is that the truckers refuse to have cargo inside the car on the off chance that during trucking - say heavy breaking the cargo flies around in the car and causes damage. They don't want to be held responsible.

The sad thing is a have heard of so many cars being offered with original parts inside and thought they where a better deal as you get more for your money... this is the first time I have evr been told that the parts are not allowed to be transported along with the car once it hits Oz!

Updated my web page with 150 photos... so if you get bored... :)

Had some trouble with the local compliance work shop though as they allocated their last plate so have inadvertantly stuffed me right royally - as to comply this car interstate is going to be a huge waste of money :bunny:

hopefully there is a way around this else I am going to have to either store in Japan for 4 months, Store at home for 4 months (if that is even allowed) and then comply in October

or waste about $2000+ extra and get it complied in QLD - registered in SA and then pay to have a local mechanic refit all the goodies which I will have to pay to have shipped down seperate to the car as Kiwi trucking does not allow cargo in the car when transporting them!

I dont see why you cant store it at your place for a few months. My compliancer used all his plates and wont be getting more until July, mine's been sitting in his workshop for the past 3 months (also a test vehicle). I would rather wait and save the cash and spend it on something useful.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
