I was on the UAS website and saw this snorkel for sale and was wondering if anyone know how on earth is fits and how it sits in the car?? Its meant to be used with a pod filter to work as a CAI. Any opinions?? The price is steep but if it works well than maybe its worth exploring in regards to making it myself.

Just another thing to go wrong...

Better off with out it. I'd say it would just channel water, dust and crap into your nicely oiled filter and give you no noticeable performance gains. Why not just use the standard snorkel to get some cool air in there.

by the look of it it comes from under the bar and allows air in through an old intercooler pipe. ie if u got a hybrid fmic kit with the crossover pipe, there is 1 hole vacated and thus by putting this on, sucks air through the bar and under the pod.

it only works if you're running a fmic that runs from the under the washer bottle to leave one of the holes under the pod filter free for this.

its designed to go from the spare hole under the pod filter to one of the vents in your front bar.

it wont work with the standard airbox.

just get some 2.5" duct pipe from bunnings, get a funneled opening that goes from 2.5 - 3.0.

the idea is to speed up the air once it hits the piping so get whatever will fit. a wider opening in the shape of a rectangle works best if you can find it.

then just spray it black to look a bit stealth, mount it, and you're done.
