if you're talking quarter mile Anthony then first place to look is tyres. a set of MIckey Thompson ET Street radials will go a long way to eliminating any wheel spin. prices are on our web site

The ET Streets 255/50/16's are ok on a 8" rim?

With regards to the RE55's. Hows the wear/traction compare between the soft and medium compound?

Worth going the soft or do they just chew out mega quick yet only offer a little improvement in grip?

its not entirely for 1/4 mile. i still want to run my 18inch streeters and minimise some sort of spin whilst changing gears. So yea just wanted to know what i could do

I think you'd be pushed to fit a 255 on an 8 inch rim. we havent tested out the soft compound yet but once the fronts wear out on our race car I intend to get a set of soft compound for the fronts and see how they go. lap times will be the answer to whether they are a significant improvement or not.
