OoskylineoO
hey guys, looking for some rims for my r33 s2 gts4 but can't really decide if i should get 17s or 18s lol. Im thinking 17s with 235/45 are OK, 18s with 235/40 look better but would they be abit heavy? my 33 is a NA after all. :S any recommendations? n15m0
18s are the new 17s nowadays..lightweight 18s are the way to go..not too big, and not too small Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183836-17s-or-18s/#findComment-3329464 Share on other sites

OoskylineoO
lol o alright. If i go look for some racing lightwieght rims like rays engineering, enkei etc, there abit out of my price range lol. An estimate, usually how much would an average 18'' rim wieght? adam-__-
Go with the 18" wheels. The 17's look a bit small on the 33's in my opinion. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183836-17s-or-18s/#findComment-3329711 Share on other sites
siddr20
Sorry to say but im going towards 17s. Cheaper on rubber. Better suited for track.. Fills up the guards nicely, but the rear does tend to look a little small ( i will give you that) But 18s if you just after look. heaps of pics in here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...0&start=200 then pm the person and get more info Edited September 5, 2007 by siddr20 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183836-17s-or-18s/#findComment-3329812 Share on other sites
OoskylineoO
so in terms of performance, 17s would be more suitable hey? 18s look good but dont want anything too heavy slowing down my NA ], slow already as it is lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183836-17s-or-18s/#findComment-3329941 Share on other sites
DriftyR33
My car did much better 1/4 times on 17's than 18's, but round a circuit I preferred the 18's and they look better, but the 17's felt better for day to day driving, Depends what your thinking of doing with the car really. Oblivion
not really no light weight would be about 8 or under...depending on size.... i suppose 18's might be about 12....or 10.. width as well, will make it heavier. -=MC=- Coolio
just go 18's, As if a na skyline cant handle them. remember looks are everything 17's to small, and later on you'll be wishing you bought 18's.
