Hi all, firstly I'll like to greet everyone in the forum!

I own a 180sx Type-X and planning to trade it in within the next 2 weeks or so for a R34 GT.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it.

But basically I want where and how much I can get the spoiler for it, exact same ones as the stock turbo ones.

It just doesn't look that great without it..

Also is $16.5k decent for a R34 GT that's done just under 100k?

Thanks for all your help. :(

this is true, youll be hard pressed i think to find a decent GT that cheap, id be budgeting for at least 19k minimum not to mention insurance and rego, just keep that in mind, but it would only take a few minutes to find some on carsales or carpoint, check them out and see what u can find

steve

I'd say $16.5k is pretty decent. Are you sure you wanna go from turbo to an NA though? I don't know your situation, but I have a feeling you might regret it.

I guess test drive it and if you like it then it's up to you. :)

Thanks guys.

Well reason being from going turbo to NA is cause I've speeding too much lately. Lucky I haven't been caught yet, and its just chewing up too much $ for maintanence.

I've decided to go NA but still have the looks,

So the R34 GT was my choice. I mean I would consider a GTT, but that'll cost an extra 8k or so. Not to mention the insurance cost for it... omg I don't even want to think about it lol.

I'll be going for a test drive this saturday to see if there's that much of a big difference from the 180 I've got now anyway.

So does anyone know where I can buy a rear spoiler to make it look more of a sexy beast? :D

Cheers

have you ever thought about/tried to drive around at lower speeds?

seems pretty logical to me.

well........ you'll be more likely than not to speed when you're driving a turbo.

Seems pretty logical to me.

Anyways the main question is the rear spoiler purchase. Anyone?

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
