I'll pass those comments onto Aaron

Its true our commission is small & that is all we make, all shipping is passed on at cost.

hey all

very cheap prices on ImportMonster but relible? i surly dont know.

theres better places n sites just have a look around i.e google ftw

joosteN^ :D

Wow another hater :) ...

You said that there are very cheap prices available, but you are not sure if we are reliable? We are an Australian company, with years of importing experience. If you, or anybody else has any concerns about our company, you are welcome to direct those specific questions at me, or send me your number I'll give you a call ;)

You said there are better places & sites i.e. google?

Nobody else does Yahoo purchasing like we do. There is not another site in the world that allows you to browse Yahoo in English, with all prices converted to Australian dollars, gives you the ability to watch items in real time, and bid, on the spot, around the clock. We re-display only the important auction info (such as pics and descriptions) and remove all the other non-important stuff like banner advertising, etc.

I have got an account with import monster, yet to use it but it look very well sorted.

I will have to see prices vs a few other services to make decision.

I have had recent bad experiance with my normal japanese trader who fell back on his "disclaimer" when the shit hit the fan even though I have been loyal it seems to have no stock so nor do I. The whole idea besides having access to the japanese market is having a person provide infomation to you that allows you to make an informed decision.

The problem is when the infomation is wrong YOUR THE ONE LEFT HOLDING THE CAN, OUT OF POCKET ETC ETC.....

Hense trying other service providers.

cheers

Rob

Here's a link that searches the entire site for the word 'Stagea' (get yourself a Coke / beer / whatever & get ready for several hours of browsing)

http://www.importmonster.com.au/auction?ca...%BC%A5%B8%A5%A2

Around 9,000 items over 180 pages!

Otherwise browse using the categories down the left side of this page:

http://www.importmonster.com.au/auction

Example, go into 'Interior Equipment' then 'Nissan'

Or go into 'Intake & Exhaust' then 'Nissan' then 'Muffler / System'

And search those categories (drop either of these in the search box):

Japanese text for Stagea: ステージア

Or put in: WGNC34 (or whatever model you have)

Once again if anybody needs assistance with specific searches just yell out.

Chi,

We require a 50% deposit in order to bid. So if you want to bid the equivalent of $100, you would need $50 in your account to bid. We're only talking the bid amount here, not the full price including shipping & GST.

If your bid is unsuccessful, the deposit is returned to your Import Monster account instantly, so you can bid on other items, or request to get it back again (credit back to your bank account, paypal, credit card, depending on how you paid us). You only actually pay if you win an auction.

In an ideal world we'd just run the honesty policy, but unfortunately not everybody follows it. If we bid on something for you, without collecting money, and we win the auction, and you change your mind, we are stuck with the item. If we just didn't pay, it would mud-up our Japanese Yahoo rep which has follow-on effects with future purchases.

Hope that makes sense.

Okay. EMS items (sent via air) take on average 3-4 business days to arrive at your door once they are sent. Sometimes the Japanese sellers are very quick at sending the goods to us, other times they lag out a bit, it is best to assume it could be 2-3 weeks from when you win the auction.

We're offering a Yahoo purchasing service, helping you purchase from Yahoo. We (like you) don't know the condition of the item. We find that the Japanese are usually honest in their descriptions, and when selling rims for example, ensure to take pictures of any damage such as gutter rash. So you are taking on some risk purchasing this way, however you are also saving heaps too. The choice is up to you :)

I think importmonster has a far superior layout then slidewize and alot more interactive features. The biggest one being your in control of the bidding function and alot more easier to search for items then thone are in a set menu like Slidewize.

Importmonster has got big ups

    • Ah. OK. I take it back. I hadn't looked closely at the R33/4 arms and presumed that GKTech did as GKTech do everywhere else, which is to use sphericals there. The poly bushings are made to be 100% interchangeable, should use the standard bolt just fine. Every other bush in every other place in pretty much every other car, does.
    • @silviaz Ok cool, so much easier with a video. I can see why this video would be confusing for new players.   It is obvious that this entire bonnet is going to be resprayed, have a look in the background around 2:05, you can see a bunch of bare metal on the left side of the bonnet.  It's not an issue for the primer being laid down on the non-prepped clear on the bonnet. It will be sanded off at a later stage.  This might not be obvious to new players, but working on bare metal and factory paint in this instance, the factory paint is like a mountain and the bare metal is a huge valley. The bonnet needs to be levelled flat before it receives it's final stage of colour and clear coat. During this levelling process, the primer that is landing on the clear that you are worried about will be removed.  Also, this guy is out of control. Zero PPE while spraying, maybe he is a good example overall about what not to do lol.
    • Ok I FINALLY found a video lol. This took way longer than it should have as I could have sworn I saw multiple videos like this. I kept finding the completely opposite (the correct way of doing this). I wouldn't be surprised if I f**ked this up somehow.  I just realised where I've been getting confused and even with other things I work on. I haven't been doing things the regular way instead I'm going a roundabout way of doing things, like putting epoxy primer first then filler for example instead of putting just filler then primer on top of that, then wondering what happens if I get that primer on the clear coat that I haven't sanded yet. This was a bit of an epiphany 😂  But anyways, here this video. Time stamp, 2:56, some of the primer lands on the paint unscuffed above. You can see from the reflection it looks shiny.
    • It does, this part circled in red. I assume the OEM bolt might not work well with the poly bushing because the dimensions may be different?
    • The J arm doesn't have bushes either. Assuming that by "J arm" you mean the part of the upright that runs down from the upper arm's outer bushes to the top of the hub. That has a kingpin style bearing in it. If you meant the lower control arm, it has 1 bush, at its inner end. If you have PU in there, that is superior to Nismo rubber. If you meant the caster/tension rod - it has 1x bush at the front end, and again PU is superior to Nismo rubber. But as I said above, I would definitely get the GKTech arms for that, as sphericals slay all other options there.
