I got my Car from NSW and still havent gone over the pits but its register although they state your not allowed to drive you need to go over the pits since my car is in the name of the other driver still i can park wher i want lol

Altough with the point not sure how the system works :(

am moving to NSW in september and have 5 points on my license. when i get my nsw license will my points transfeR??

also can i get demerit points in NSW while driving on my WA license???

you are supposed to get demerit points sent accross for interstate fines but the system is a shambles and it virtually never ever happens

but they will transfer all existing demerits when you transfer your license

and you have 3 months to transfer.

When I bought my stag from SA, the guy had previously bought it from WA and hadn't transfered it into SA, so it was still on WA plates in SA... I made the guy in SA put his address down and sign the transfer papers (no brainer).. When I went in to transfer it, the lady was shocked the car hadn't been transfered out of the orignal owners name first, then into the guy in SA... she said the guy in SA will recieve a fairly large fine... oh well, his bad..

You can keep your car registered in NSW aslong as you have a dwelling there and have family or friends living there so you can get the rego papers sent over when its due... but why would you want to do that? Here in WA you don't have Road worthy cert. to worry about :P

I got done in Sydney when I was living there (driving WA state plate car with WA license). The fine I recieved should have knocked me off my WA license, but nothing ever happened besides paying the hefty speeding fine. The cop asked if I was on holiday or living in Sydney, and I said I was living here and just arrived. He then told me I had a few months to change it over, but meh...6 months later I came back to Perth anyway and didn't get pulled over by cops during that time. If you get pulled over, say you're just on holiday.

The 3 months thing is just a preference thing they say, coz otherwise you won't be losing your license from speeding etc.

Got a mate here who has been on SA plates for years, never gets done by multinovas or pulled over by cops to ask about his plates etc.

    • Wiring the car up today so will report back for anyone else that searches this in future.
    • The light comes on from low oil pressure. Not temp. Did you do a rebuild or just add an ecu etc?  What oil are you using and where are you getting the pressure reading from
    • So like the title says my 97 rs4v has a oil temp sensor but no triple gauges as it was originally factory navigation. My current setup is not using the factory oil pressure sensor as I'm running a link ecu and a real sensor.  I did leave the oil temp sensor in. So now as I was working on first start up and bleeding coolant I get the oil light on the dash faintly as the oil temp gets to about 60-70c. Oil pressure is 45psi at idle at the same time.  I'm wondering if the temp sender doing this?
    • Well it runs again!  This was a definite case of while I have it apart lol Everything except the body and interior has been restored, refinished, or replaced.  @socal_stagea is my IG if you're bored and want to see all the pics.
    • I already got plug and play Link ecu G4X. Main concern is that the de loom works on s1 motor or not? I already rewired injector and coils loom to suit my bosch injectors and bosch vag coil. I’m not running any Iacv. For cas running the nz wiring kit i bought the neo plug one so it suits the wiring but don’t know it works or it doesn’t matter they work the same on every motor. For wastegate solenoid do i need to wire straight from ecu? What can i do for iat sensor to work or same run from ecu? For Vct solenoid, right now i got s1 vct solenoid on motor so do i need to remove neo connector and add s1 connector to work? Any other thing i missed i need to do to make the motor working on de loom. Any different mechanism on neo vs s1?
