Hey

Got a braided oil feed line made up at PERTEK a few weeks ago to put on my new turbo, HKS T04e

I've since been looking at the line and it looks very thin, now I'm starting to think its not a sufficient size for my turbo

I don't want the turbo to die from oil starvation so I'm wondering what is a sufficient size oil feed line to be running on RB20DET motor with a HKS t04e turbo?

Someone has mentioned that it should be about 8mm due to the turbo not being ball bearing

It might be about 8mm, I am doubting it though but that would be the max size it would be and even the banjo bolt fitting thing that goes to the block, the outlet to that looks quiet small

I don't even have the stock oil feed line to compare it to and now its doing my head in

Do I get a bigger one made up, or do I use this one?

its plenty, ball bearing turbochargers can have down to 0.45mm restricters built into them. Too much oil = failure. Garrett's can handle no more than 45psi of oil pressure.

My feed is only 8mm, been there for 3 years now.
