HAHA Saw a clip on some site awhile ago..

some kid in his car trying to splash puddles on little kids..ended up loosing control and taking out a whole group of kids..

pretty stupid to do this on purpose

I dfont think anyone is conding this to a dangerous point.

If some one is going to speed up for a puddle, then thats obviously stupid.

I hope your not missing the humour to the situation.

haha i do see the humour side of this..thats why I laughed when I saw that clip of the kids getting hit + soaked in water..

i was meant to laugh right? haha

haha awesome vid

havent done it to anyone yet. . keyword is YET

Years and years ago when i was little i was in the car with my dad on the way to barbagallo to see the V8s, old lady was putting her shopping in the back of her car (some little hatch back thing) and my dad thought it would be a good idea to splash her lol

It was one of the biggest waves ive ever seen come from a puddle and obviously she copped it all

We both pis*ed ourselves laughing

But i wouldnt do it to someone old or little kids, unless the kids were derro haha

would love to get a bunch of emo/punk people one day

It's a time honoured tradition, passed from one generation to the next.

I grew up on dirt roads and copped many a soaking...didn't bother me going home getting changed and trying again every so often :D

Kinda stings when the puddles are part frozen though... I used to keep a stone or two in my pockets for purposes of speedy revenge.

And so the cycle continues :)

this shiit happened to me in lockridge, riding my pushy, pritty chilled back thru a street that goes into benara and the 62 bus came and owned a puddle making it hit me and knock me off my bike and fall on the floor. was 13 at the time, but now i think of it, it was a funny experience

but as doing goes ive only every done skool kids! hahahah

I've had it done to me by a bus! I could've stabbed the driver if I'd gotten the chance! I was on my way to meet a guy in the city (for a date haha) and I have really curly hair so I straighten it every day (twice) and I thort I was lookin pretty hot and thsi stu[id bus got me head to toe and of course only half my hair got wet so only half went curly and the other half stayed straight. I didn't go to the date, I went home! Stupid bus and puddle!! I cried! :'(

r u kiddin... they're jerks! I work in the city so it's easier to catch the bus and I get on in heels and as i got to walk down the aisle...they take of real quick and then giggle in the rear view as I go flat on my face!!! Then they splash puddles on u!!!

i think i read somewhere in this topic that mel has to walk a bit to go to lunch or smething. we should make a sauwa event of splashing her with a bus. two members could jump her and hold her next to a puddle and get soaked along with her?? anyone up for it???

i have stupid ideas until you do it and it becomes a fun event

Omfg...update on the busses & puddles... Happened to me yesterday, crossing over wellington st to the bus port, but was one of those sped mini busses, I just jumped out of the way in time and only wet my boots!!

:bunny:

I know it was you guys who organised that....grrrr

And wtf with the mud wrestling?!?! At least jelly feels better.... lol

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
