Plenum Sensor

Hi guys,

My Plenum has had the chop and block treatment. It is a factory plenum but has been made into a forward facing plenum. My question though...

Where the air inlet use to be, it has been blocked and someone has put a sensor in there. What would this be used for? after market ecu?

Please ask for a picture if you need, am at work at the moment so i cant post one until tonight.

Possibly an air temp sensor, would be easier to figure out what it is if you posted up a pic.
