To adjust or not to adjust

I have just installed my SAFCII and want to adjust the setting to lean out my air/fuel ratios. Can I use my past dyno graph as a guide to setting the SAFC? I don't want to over do it just lean it out a little for better performance.

I am getting a tune with a service in around 2 months time, but I don't really want to wait until then.

What do you think and how much should I adjust the settings??

thanks,

Mike

Dont touch the settings unless you are doing it on the dyno!

The SAFCII will lean it out, but it isnt 100% accurate. for example when i was tuning mine on the dyno i had a real dip in my a/f ratio at exactly 4,500rpm so i set the safc to decrease the read out at 4,500 but it actually moved the a/f ratio at around 3,500rpm. they work well but you really need to use a dyno to make sure.

its really easy to get it to lean out in a particular spot unintentionally - it did that with me on the dyno, but once i worked out the variance in rpm it was easy, but what ever you do dont do it without immediate dyno runs to check.
