just went to my kids school show and as i was pulling into the car park my clutch peddle went to the floor. have had a look and i have split the clutch hose on the soft hose about a 1cm from the slave cylinder. my car is booked into the panelbeaters tomorrow afternoon so i need to find a replacement line tomorrow morning so i can fit it to get it to the panelbeaters ;) . can anyone help or point me in the right direction.

      Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.

      Continental have consistently beaten the absolute shit out of every other performance tyre in Wet/Damp/Cold conditions and give up a little bit of time (half a second at most) in the dry. Almost like it's engineered for German conditions or something. I'd def give those a try.

      I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
