Lepperfish
IM asking about this referring to a haltech E6K ecu and the poor fuel economy I have been having recently.... If anyone could explain it, it would be appreciated... Lepperfish..... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/23656-closed-loop-idle-control/ Share on other sites
Fast31
i have an E6K as well and have bad economy. Closed loop means getting a haltech O2 sensor in your dump pipe to control your fuel ratios, which are usually set to 14.7/1 for light load cruising. Closed loop can be set to turn off at a given RPM, usually around the rpm where boost starts to rise above 0. this is my understanding of closed loop control, the price of the sensor has turned me off so far. BOOSTD
Should be able to use a compatable second hand sensor. Closed loop will bring your ratios down to 16:1 some even 18:1. I have a Power Fc and fuel consumption is fantastic.
