NA_Goodness
I was going to fast for them to follow and get a speed, and they had no radar. Plus they were detectives in an unmarked car, so I doubt they could be bothered doing anything. I've never done something that stupid again!! I guess the fact you stopped when you saw the distant flashing lights is something. xtc
^ i see MattyP reading this...i've been pulled over HEAPS... always RBT (sometimes speeding, well a few times but yeah...) once your car is stopped they're basically out of the car straight away man, if you can just turn off your car and your lights (if it's night time or dark) and just hop out if they haven't reached you... if they have then stay in the car unless they're in your way always good to show common courtesy to them, if you've done something wrong and you're definitely going to get done, don't act stupid... if they haven't got you definitely then say things like 'maybe', 'possibly' and 'could have' a lot... then you won't be done for actually admitting anything lol works like a charm my2c and out of interest Kinh, what plates did you get? i need some custom plates now, about time i turn into a SAUWA sheep i was gonna get something flashy outta the blues 4u2nv or ru3429t but decided not to so you'll have to wait and see. NA_Goodness
so you were going that fast they could not catch up?I guess the fact you stopped when you saw the distant flashing lights is something. I slowed right down to only 30kms over, then I saw the lights coming over the hill. Not that I was doing lightspeed so they couldnt keep up, they just didnt have time to catch up. It was still stupidly fast though Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/245448-undercover-cops/page/3/#findComment-4272107 Share on other sites

Char
my coppa mate says basically, they can do whatever speed they want its called a 'speed test' as in they pull up next to a car and stare hard at their speedo and see what the matching speed is. seul_avec
i think there are cops surfing SAU looking for any suspicious behaviour !! ... OMG am i suppsoe to say that .. crap ..... i got pulled over once, and they were like " OHH we're not trying to be RACIST (since im asian) ... bla bla bla" ... nothing wrong with my car so they had to let me go.... but i just got off work with formal working clothes, so maybe i look like a decent person at that time (which is rare cuz i normally go out in thongs and shorts and just a Tshirt) ... I was like what the hell do you think your doing he said looking in your car whats with the "bag and clothing boy" i replied its none of your biz and why u pulled me over for any ways was i speeding. He said no my pipe was to loud and i was like okay and...... he said nothing but i was free to go. 3. I was going to mandurah just getting off the free way and i did not indicate when leaving the roundabout the cop pulled me in and stung me badly and idiot me payed the fine it was $150.00 and two points. He was pulling heaps of people in for this reason I paided the fine then i read in the lerners book u do not have to indicate when leaving a roundabout only if u feel its save to do so. I've been pulled over once for it. the few times i have been pulled over by an undercover where: 1. on the freeway, when i over took an undercover at the legal limit and he didnt like it very much so he pulled me over. No fine...he just took my name down. 2. Along morley drive heading towards karrinyup road...they just wanted to check the car for defects...gave me a rbt and sent me on my way. 3. In the graham farmer tunnel...apparenty didnt like the excessive noise, but just gave me a rbt and sent me on my way. I've been pulled over once for it. It is compulsory to indicate when exiting a round a bout. I think ur getting confused when entering the round a bout. If you entering the round a bout and plan to go straight through, there is no need to indicate. However, just before you exit the round a bout you are required to indicate. The repercussion of getting caught if you do not have them up just because it will attract less attention from the police is not worth it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/245448-undercover-cops/page/3/#findComment-4279625 Share on other sites
NA_Goodness
Terence, Its a $100 fine I think. Cop was going to give me one when my P plate was laying on my parcel shelf. Glad he didn't, but still got a speeding fine. Neil, that is completely rift. The amount of times cops drive past my car and as soon as they see my Ps, they're watching me like a hawk. When my Ps are down, they don't even look. I was driving my mates Rex doing 80 in a 70 zone, cops cruised past at about 90. If I had my Ps up I'm possitive I'd have been stopped. Only problem with not wearing my Ps, mum chucks a sad I hate living at home sometimes!
