there is also an aussie one forgot the name

has every sorta racing/car styles from aus

and then u get ur speedweek, rallies sometimes and car shows to restore like pimp my ride overhauling and that

that would be fox sports, (1 2 and 3) you can usually get spome car action on one of those of a night.

ESPN can be good for some USA d1 action and such at times as well.

rally was probably the only decent thing on fox sports.... that and i got addicted to monster trucks for a while of all things which was on ESPN... a lot more entertaining then i thought it would be

blood sweat and gears is super fantastically gay if you like seeing yobs, full sicks and spazs race their over priced and over powered cars through different "events" which normally ends up being more about burnouts then racing.

the only thing on fox i like watching with cars are shows like wrecks to ritches and overhaulin, although overhaulin is starting to get even gayer thanks to stupid pre-rehearsed "spontanious pranks".

Not much Jap racing stuff, but heaps of car stuff. Get IQ and record it all for later.

There's heaps of rally, bikes, circuit stuff, bit of drifting, car building shows (Overhaulin, American Hotrod, Wrecks to Riches etc). It's the main reason I have Foxtel

The biggest thing with Forumla D (American D1) is that some teams are full factory (like Team Mopar for example) or factory backed (Rhys Millen Racing) and they have massive sponsorships not only for the cars but for the entire championship (Air Force, Castrol, Tomei, Tyre manufacters etc.)..and they have a round of D1GP out in the states. That's where IMHO Drift Australia fell down as they had Toyo Tyres has their main sponsor but I don't beleive they had anyone else hence why they have gone to a 1 race championship this year. Yes I know that DA is in its infancy and finding sponsors is difficult but hopefully they can a major sponsor but also alot of small sponsors

Foxtel need to do a deal with SPEED Channel in the US to get their channel out here. Fox Sports show like the american AMA Superbike and motocross series...but they do the Formula D championship (which is on Fuel TV I know but they are behind a bit) and they have alot of european racing. It would be really great to have a dedicated 24hr Racing channel

DA is in its infancy?

Hasnt it been around for like 5 years or more now?

Formula D was massive after like 2 years in comparison.

Its never going to be even remotely as big as D1 or FD mainly because our population is way too small to support the small percentage of people that arent bogans who prefer watching the exact same cars with different badges go around the same tracks.

But i suppose thats for another a thread...

go foxtel...

    • The 32 still sits untouched with the broken gearbox. So a little off topic but not worth having a whole new thread. The daily starlet has gotten back on the road after 9 months. Suspected blown HeadGasket at a track day resulted in a bit of scope creep rebuild. The motor got a full tear down, pressure testing, machined for MLS HG, ARP head bolts, new bearings, all new seals etc also noticed some fatigue on the stock exhaust manifold so obviously the answer was a steam pipe manifold and highflow turbo. The exhaust was also looking tired with some rust holes. So I got a slightly over kill system made up consisting of Vibrant resonator and muffler with a highflow cat. The new highflow turbo had a larger inlet so instead of adapting the old intake got a case of the might as wells and had a nicer alloy intake made After the run in was finished i bought a (probably considered retro/vintage) EBC becasue "might as well"
    • Pretty stout result. How much boost? Anything left in it?
    • Just dropped the car off at MX5 Mania to install the intake plenum and give it a little retune  My impatience hates the waiting game
    • SAMSONAS      Just saying      U know and we know U wanna     Just a matter of time....
    • This is kind of what I expected given the use case. I took my liners out for track days too.... It makes me consider just getting a diffuser and not bothering with the arch liners themselves. For the most part I would like to avoid water/mud/jank splashing up from under the car onto the bottom of the engine, lines, wiring, etc etc. (but brake ducts are cool too). Especially given this post on SAU here: Where it's implied you have to cut them because the actual tub is different? Which is pretty damn worrying because that is where the liners rub in a GTR with wider wheels... I definitely won't want to pay $2000 for plastic then cut them up. It also means said wider wheels rub on the tub in a GTT? FML. That said, I have found some evidence someone ran a 295/30/18 without scrubbing these liners. (and by extension.. the tub).
