Cat Back Exhaust

Hey Got a question bout an exhaust thing, for 3 " cat back is there much differnce between mild steel an stainless steal? I think stainless is better quality better life time an shows up diff?

Is there really much diff between the 2?

I got quoted 860 Cat back stainless.

Stainless IMO is not really worth it.

You cant see it, so the bling is wasted.

Ye it doesnt rust and so on, but think about the fact your running a turbo, and usually increased boost with more heat etc so as long as its driven regularly there wont be an issue for many many years.

Sound is different between the two, that comes down to personal preference. I dont mind mild steel

If your budget is tight and can only afford mild steel, there wont be a problem there at all.

Moons ago (5 years) i had a full mild steel exhaust done for around $500

The exhaust joint told me, you pay like 3 times as much for stainless and it only last not even twice as long..

(not sure just what they tell me)

I just had a full 3 inch mild steel mandrel bent exhaust made and fully ceramic coated with two stainless magna flow mufflers for $1350
