my r33 has been was runnin ruff and heavy. changed engine oil to the castrol sports and the baby ran like a dream for a day. a day later she started running heavy again. So i took the car to autoworkshop frndly dude said it runs like a dream no problem just me being paranoid :devil: . gonna get it retuned hopefully tht will solve the prob.

anyways my engine lite starts blinking if i boost. eg over 5000rpm and over 1.0 boost :S... sum1s told me that it mite be ecu or tune. this wasnt always the case it just started happenning out of no where.

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
