I may just come down this week, it really depends on work though and whether they pay me or not, if I do plan on coming down I'll let you know cause I'd get lost going there myself.

too easy maaaaang

Lowballer 31 ness means yes I had 1 kenda cheapo tyre on it. 3 week wait on KU31s so just took anything that was the right size lol.

Urgh. Not even 31 owners are that dodgy

If you had bought my tyres you'd have 2 matching ones to put on...

Ugh got f**kloads of uni stuff to do this weekend so will probably just watch it while I'm doing some assignments. Gaids.

I'm looking forward to the rule change for it though. Especially if Nissan, Toyota and Audi etc get in on it. Will be much better then.

Pretty good for a day of TV/drinking though. But it will get switched off as soon as the F1 comes on.

Dear UDB316 Students,

I refer to my email on this Monday regarding the extension of deadline for Assignment 2, we consider a large number of students will be away during next week mid-term break, and also some of you have technical issues encountered in regard to the use of CostX, we decided to further extend the submission date for Assignment 2: Cost Plan (Part 2 – Final Cost Plan Report) (30% weighting) for one more week. The revised deadline for Assignment 2 submission is now the 8th October 2010 (Friday). Please ensure you submit your assignment by the due date to avoid incurring any penalties for late work.

We are currently finalising the marking of Assignment 1, and you can get your marked Assignment 1 from Assignment Minder around 5th or 6th October. We are sorry for the delay but please understand that it really takes us a while to complete marking for 150 reports and files.

Thanks

Regards,

Johnny

Original due date was today lol.

So you guys remember Johnny? I just got another surprise announcement lol.

Dear UDB316 Students,

Based on the porblem of late return of marked assignments and alsorequests from students, we decide to further extend Assignment 2 deadline to the close of business Wednesday, 13th of October 2010. Please note that no further extension will be granted - this is the 'final' deadline of Assignment 2.

We hope that all of you could incorporate the comments from assignment 1 into your Assignment 2.

Regards,

Johnny

This guy is a f**king joke. Ends up giving another extension because it took them 6 weeks to mark our first assignments. So all the retards at uni complained that they couldn't finish the second assignment without the feedback from the first. This prick just keeps f**king me over with his moving the goal posts. I'm still handing mine in tomorrow cus f**k this guy. ;)

I spent a lot of time today considering going back to uni to complete the 10 subjects that would give me an ecology degree in addition to my environmental management one, reading that has made me think hard about how much I hated uni when i was there and has almost put me off lol

Uni is just the complete opposite of what I expected. I hate the lecturers and the students some days I just want to burn it down. Down to the ground. I don't think I could ever do any more uni shit after this is finished.

TESTING DOCUMENTS DONE!!!!

Well, drafted anyway. On to some real work tomorrow :)

I am sure I have killed at least 17% of my brain cells while doing those documents ;)

I like your attitude.

I am quite sure I could get many more degrees with just as little effort as I got the first one. However, I hated it so much I doubt I will ever go back to Uni.

...That said, if they give me any more testing documentation to do I might bail and go back to uni, best of two evils...

Yep I hear ya, couple that with the fact I was broke the entire time I would mark it as one of my lifes low points, though picking up was easy so I guess that was an upside.

I hate it too, but in my case the average ecologist is charging out at $150 - $200 an hour. Hence the delema

I haven't had to suffer with the being broke part of uni. While I never have any money I still earn a fair bit more that my other uni mates. The other end of the stick is all my other mates work 15 - 20 hours a week while I do 40 while uni is on and 60+ when uni is on holidays. Trying to cram in 4 or 5 subjects worth of assignments and still work 40 hours a week is a challenge I never want to do again.

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
