yeah i didnt wana repaint, as it was resprayed a year earlier and paint was perfect. so was limted with how much they could lip it. but if ur gona respray the car, they can be more agressive with the flare.

Can guards actually be 'flared' with a roller? I thought it was only to lip the inside of the guard, I didn't know they could actually push/flare the whole guard outside???

Anyway, Steve's guard looks mangled in that pic, the arch doesn't look smooth, looks all bumpy............

yeah you can flare them with it but you gotta go slow and force it bit by bit... the grey/black silvia that i posted a pic of had it done with it im pretty sure, check out his build thread.
