  • 2 weeks later...

Okay, updates time

Last week:

Here is some info from Tony at Loveday for the weekend coming up:

For both Friday and Saturday nights the cost will be $70 and for Saturday night only the cost is $50 - payable to him on arrival at the Loveday Tavern.

Firewood is available from him in $50 lots, but as we are camping at / near the Loveday Tavern there will be a fire there anyway, so wood is not reqd.

If you need power then you will need to bring a couple of 30m cords to join together otherwise it's all 12 volt power. Hot showers are available as are toilets.

Cheers,

Paul

Today

As for numbers coming - I have gone back through the thread and counted 23 4wd's from this forum and another 6 of your 'friends'. Can everyone do me a favour and confirm their attendance with a Pm to me - especially if they are bringing other 4wds along. I need to know numbers and can you also let me know what time and day you think you will be there (reason below). It is just to confirm for Tony and to make sure we are all going to fit on the grass camp area!!!

With upwards of 29 4wds going (let alone who else is heading up there that weekend) we are going to have to split into two separate groups on the Saturday. Are you all happy to do that? I am told the property track takes a good 5 hours now, so if I know when you are getting up there I can start organising a system for the weekend so that we are not lining up 20+ deep to do a run somewhere. Sound fair?

I'm hoping, come Saturday afternoon, that we can all play on the comp track and maybe separate GQ's with GU's and have that friendly competition as to which is better.

Nick - I just appointed you captain of the GU's!!!!!!!!

Anyway, please all let me know what you think re the organisation of the weekend. What else would you like to see happen? Saturday night BBQ and drinks under the Tavern roof is a definate. Bacon and eggs Sunday too.

Cheers,

Paul

and

Good news -

Cost for the weekend is $50 regardless of if you are coming up Friday night or Saturday morning. That extra $20 can go towards a bottle of scotch for me for Saturday night.

Nuh, only joking. With more than 20 4wd's going I think Tony is happy to charge $50 for the weekend.

See you all up there in 4 weeks.

Paul

So to summarise for those who skim read

$50 per truck for the weekend (whether going up friday or saturday)

Now, i need to know who's definite, and what day ya coming up

If ya able to tell me tonight i can drop paul a PM and let him know :iluvff:

Unfortunately the M/T's are one tyre that no one really discounts.

Tyre Power at Brighton or Blackwood would be the go.....try twisting their arm, you never know.

I put 305 x 65 x 17 ATR 4 Rib on my truck.........Matty has the MTZ version.

Mine are a little noisy on the black top..........I'm guessing his would be worse.

Yea I'm going to have to do some shopping around. Planning on buying a set of speedy's also and just run MT-z's when necessary as I do a fair few KM's and the noise will probably annoy the hell out of me. Plus I could probably talk work into covering a basic road tire come time for replacement :P

Would be nice to have it sorted by that weekend but will have to wait and see, as always money is the issue would be pretty good if it wasnt

just thought id jump in and let you guys know im still attending this one if i can... got months confused and my holidays are now!... but im sure i can get the weekend off if i go in there monday and request.... ill be coming on near bald and puncture repaired bf goodrich muddies.... may be able to get some mickey thompson baja muddies 33" but the size may limmit my turning due to not having plates in the front to allow for larger tires..

just to make you all jelous a workmate of mine picked up a stolen recovered 2003 4.2td patrol for 12000 stolen recovered at the auctions all fixed and regestered for a further 3000.. 15000 for a 30000 dollar vehicle.... thats not bad.

just did a speed read of the thread Matty......can't see the dates??

Then again, prolly staring at me!!

15/16 august. Im taking the friday off (14th) and heading up

Yea what was the decided date on this? 15-16 August?

Anyone got sweet hookups for MT's?:yes::D

go and see what ya can get at adelaide tyrepower too.....pete's right, theres no real discounts

Also check and see with your ute josh as if you get different rims i dont think you can go down to 15s (as they dont clear the brakes). Might be different on the utes but i know thats the case on the wagons

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
